Heists are GTA Online's biggest missions that reward participants with a huge amount of money. They are fairly challenging to do efficiently and require knowledge, skill, and teamwork. While you can do some heists solo, mosts require you to get at least one more player.

How To Do Heists In GTA 5 Online
1 - Requirements to start a heist in GTA Online
Heists would be unlocked after you reach rank 12 and buy a high-end apartment. After that, you should be able to join GTA Online's 4-player coop heists. Lester would call you for the first heist, and after that, Agent 14 would contact you every time a new one is available.
The waiting time between the heists is fifteen minutes. There are three levels of difficulty: Easy, Medium, and Hard, with Hard being the most rewarding. The Heist Leader has to pay the setup cost but also get to decide how the total payout would be divided.
A heist consists of various setup missions and the heist itself. It is recommended that you get a full team to get them done as efficiently as possible. Try to find a team of regulars to play the game with, as banding up with strangers can cause problems. Read about the heists before doing them - it is vital to know the tactics to avoid mistakes and failures.
2 - Basic Heists in GTA Online
There are five basic heists in GTA Online: The Fleeca Job, The Prison Break, Humane Labs Raid, Series A Funding, and The Pacific Standard Job.

The Fleeca Job
The Fleeca Job is GTA Online's tutorial heist. In this heist, Lester would assist you in robbing the Fleeca Bank on the Great Ocean Highway. This is the shortest heist in the game with only two Setups and one finale... and can be completed with only 2 players. The Armored Kuruma is unlocked upon completion.
Elite Challenges: Finish in less than 5:20, no one dies, less than 6% damage on the car.
The Prison Break
Agent 14 wants the crew to assault the Bolingbroke Penitentiary to break out an ex-military researcher named Maxim Rashkovsky. This heist has 4 setups and one finale - it needs to be completed with a total of 4 players. Principe Lectro and Lampadati Casco are unlocked upon completion.
The players have to steal a plane, a prison bus, and a police car for the heist setup.
Elite Challenges: Rashkovsky takes no damage, no one dies, reach extraction in 4:40 or less.
Humane Labs Raid
The objective of this heist is to raid the Humane Labs and Research facility to get the nerve agents and other chemical weapons researched there. You need 4 players to complete it. The five heist setups would have you steal the lab codes, an EMP device, two reinforced Insurgents, and a Valkyrie helicopter.
This heist would unlock the following items upon completion: Mammoth Hydra, Night Vision mask, Rebreather mask, Buckingham Valkyrie, Nagasaki Dinghy, HVY Insurgent, armored HVY Insurgent.
Elite Challenges: Finish in less than 11 minutes, undamaged vehicle, no one dies.
Series A Funding
In this heist, Trevor would order you to steal some drugs from various locations so that he could proceed with his drug trade. This heist consists of 5 setups and one finale and can be completed with 4 players. Trevor will join the operation personally at some point. Karin Technical is unlocked upon completion.
Elite Challenges: finish in less than 6:30, kill 75 enemies, and no one dies.
The Pacific Standard Job
This is the fifth and final heist in the original version of GTA Online. Lester would lead 4 players on an assault on the main branch of The Pacific Standard Bank in Downtown Vinewood. The heist consists of 5 setups and one finale. Principe Lectro, Savage, and Gang Burrito Van are unlocked upon completion.
Elite Challenges: No one dies, Noose isn’t called, finish in 10:15 minutes or less

3 - The Doomsday Heist
The doomsday heists will be unlocked after the player becomes the president of a motorcycle club or the CEO/VIP of an organization and buys a facility. Lester will contact the player to begin the first act of the heist.
The Doomsday Heists introduces Prep Jobs, a type of prerequisite mission to unlock setup missions. These jobs take place in Freemode sessions.

4 - The Diamond Casino Heist
Similar to the Doomsday heist, this heist can only be played after the player becomes the president of a motorcycle club or the CEO/VIP of an organization. Afterward, buy an Arcade to start the Casino Heist. This heist can be completed with a minimum of 2 players.
Unlike other heists, there are three possible approaches that you can select before doing Heist Prep missions: Silent & Sneaky, Aggressive, and The Big Con

5 - The Cayo Perico Heist
The newest heist in the game. You need to be a CEO/VIP/MC President and purchase a submarine to begin the Cayo Perico Heist. The players would sneak around the island hacking the security system to discover the location of the data while stealing finding various side loot.
