#1. From Mondstadt
Mondstadt is the first nation where you explore in the game. Though it's the land of fairy tales, this nation still has fewer meet non-human characters than other nations. Here are five current artificial or fictional characters in this nation.

- Ganyu: She has a half-human character, but she still has the Qilin bloodline from her mother. This is a mythical creature with the mixed blood of dragon, deer, or goat. That's why she has a pair of red horns on her head.
- Xiao: He is an Adeptus and the only remaining Guardian Yaksha in Teyvat.
- Zhongli: Zhongli is the Archon God and also the Adeptus who has half-dragon and half-qilin form.
- Yanfei: She inherited the Xiezhi blood of her father, another mythical creature resembling a goat or ox.
- Qiqi: She had been a human before your adventure in Teyvat started. But Qiqi you met in Liyue is just a walking zombie adopted by Baizhu.
Liyue still has many Adepti and divine species that haven't been released as playable characters. Genshin Impact players can expect more fictional characters in the future.

Inspired by Japan, Inazuma has many Japanese folklore creatures, such as kitsune, ogres, dogs, cats, and puppets. Here are six current playable non-human characters from this nation.
- Raiden Shogun: The Shogun you met in Inazuma is only a puppet of the Electro Archon, Ei. Ei's soul is stored in her signature sword, Musou Isshin, and takes control of the Shogun puppet.
- Yae Miko: Ei's friend, Yae Miko, is a illuminated kitsune. She has pink fox ears, a fox tail, and a long lifespan. Fox is also known as a divine creature in Inazuma.
- Gorou: Gorou is a dog-like creature with a fluffy tail and a pair of dog ears like the famous Shiba Inu dog in Japan.
- Arataki Itto: This half-blood Oni is inspired by the yokai in Japanese mythology. Itto has a pair of red horns on his forehead and beast-like strength. Moreover, he is seriously allergic to beans, which Onis in Japanese folklore are scared of.
- Kirara: The new character Kirara is a cat-like yokai with two-toned cat tails and cat paws.
- Kujou Sara: The loyal warrior serving Raiden Shogun is also a non-human character in Inazuma though she looks like a real human. In fact, she is a Tengu, a crow spirit. That's why she always wears a bird mask and has a pair of black crow wings.
Kokomi may be a non-human character. According to Teyvat folklore, she can be a sleeping dragon since the ancient era, but her dragon bloodline has been awakened yet.

Sumeru is the newest nation in Genshin Impact. Therefore, the number of playable characters is still limited. Here are four non-human playable characters in this nation up to now.
- Nahida: The current Dendro Archon in Sumeru is a God and Avatar of Irminsul. She also has a pair of elf-like ears like Klee. But she is not an elf. As unveiled in the Archon Quest, Nahida is the branch of the Irminsul tree nourished by the former Dendro Archon.
- Wanderer: This character is a puppet that Raiden Shogun created to protect the Electro Gnosis. But he was freed from this duty after the Archon Quest of Lesser Lord Kusanali with the support of the Traveler and Nahida.
- Tighnari: Tighrani appeared with fox ears and a fluffy tail in version 3.0. His design is inspired by the fennec fox in the Sahara Desert.
