VALORANT Mobile may be delayed for a long time as Riot Games does not feel amazed by the Tencent-made version. Will Riot take over the development of the VALORANT Mobile version? Let's check out the latest news about this game.

VALORANT Mobile Is Delayed

Riot Games revealed many hints about VALORANT Mobile which was scheduled to be launched in June 2023. But it seems that the game will be delayed for a long time because Riot Games has not been satisfied with the mobile version that Tencent developed.

As leaked, the owner of VALORANT took over the mobile version and developed the mobile version of this game on their own as the version made by Tencent was far different from the original version on PC.

Valorant Mobile
Riot Games Studio seems to delay Valorant Mobile.

Riot wants to ensure that the mobile version looks amazing on smartphones. But it must retain all features of the PC version. Many functions and actions will be simplified to fit the smartphone control and operating system. Moreover, there can be some changes in the items and game modes to bring mobile players a new experience.

If players link your VALORANT Mobile account with your Riot account, they will receive some valuable rewards. However, the game will not feature the cross-platform between the PC and Mobile editions.

Valorant Mobile Version
Riot Games Studio is still developing Valorant Mobile.

Though the Esports External Affairs Manager of Riot followed the leaker who leaked this piece of news, this game studio has not confirmed any information. Tencent still keeps silent about the release of this game.

But it's possible that VALORANT Mobile won't be launched until 2024 or 2025. Many players expressed their worries about its release, but all the fans of this shooter game hope that it will be developed healthily.

Valorant Mobile Release
The mobile version may come out next year.

About Legends of Runeterra

Legends of Runeterra, or LoR for short, is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by Riot Games. The game was released on April 29, 2020, for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. It uses the familiar characters and origin stories of League of Legends, the best-known product of Riot Games.

The studio developed LoR based on the company's philosophy: "building a game for core gamers who really want to go deep into a genre." However, the game may feel different from others of the same genre. That's because it does not require players to invest in "blind decks".

Riot Games first announced Legends of Runeterra on the 10th anniversary of League of Legends. On this occasion, they also introduced the new animated series - Arcane and Wild Rift.

Legends of Runeterra on Android Gameplay Basics

Being a digital collectible card game, of course, LoR gameplay revolves around cards. Each match begins with 2 players in the 1v1 format. You start the game with a hand of four random playing cards (selected from your card deck), a 20-health-point nexus, and zero mana. If you don't like your starting cards, you can trade them for other random ones before the match begins.

Legends Of Runeterra Champion
Legends Of Runeterra is all about the card.

After the pre-game phase ends, here's how it goes:

 • Both players receive a mana gem,
 • One player will attack first, and the other will defend.
 • After each round, the turn to attack switches between players, and each draws a random card from their deck.
 • The number of mana gems increases as the turn increases, up to a maximum of 10.
 • At the end of each round, any unused mana becomes spell mana, stack to a maximum of three. You use this mana to cast spell cards.

Cards

You can build your deck in Legends of Runeterra to your own unique style. However, a deck of cards must consist of exactly 40 cards, and no more than 3 copies of each card. Additionally, a player can't have more than 6 Champions in a deck. There are four types of cards: Champions, Followers, Landmarks, and Spells.

 • Champions and Followers: units that stay on the field and battle. Champions are more powerful.
 • Landmarks: trigger a special effect at the end of each round but cannot attack or block
 • Spells: single-use cards that cause special effects when placed.

Over the years, League of Legends has claimed its rightful throne in the world's gaming scene, and maybe even further. The game not only engages in the MOBA gameplay but also reaches out to producing music videos and other products. In 2019, the publisher Riot Games announced its first-ever League of Legends Anime Series - Arcane. In case you haven't been up-to-date about it, here's everything you need to know!

Announcement For League Of Legends Anime Series

There is no denying Riot Games' incredible talent in producing non-game products. We know that may sound like crazy talk to you: a game producer makes non-game products? But it's true. In fact, their products, like music videos and cinematics are so good that fans could not seem to get enough.

Of course, all of the products above tie into Riot Games' main title - League of Legends. Put all the funny jokes and comments aside, we can clearly see that these non-game productions really help to promote the game to a broader audience.

And to celebrate its 10-year run in the MOBA scene, Riot Games announced its first-ever League of Legends Anime Series - Arcane. The studio also confirmed that this project came from fans' requests, who had been asking for it for years!

Arcane Netflix Series Lol
Riot Games planned to release the series in 2020 but canceled due to the pandemic.

“Arcane was created as a love letter to our players and fans, who have been asking us for more cinematic experiences that dive deeper into the worlds and champions in League of Legends", Shauna Spenley, Riot Game’s Global President of Entertainment.

Storyline of Arcane

So far, Riot Games have only dropped but a few trailers about its upcoming animated series. But they are more than enough for us to get a glimpse of what to come.

If you're a fan of the game, you will easily notice the two main characters of the new series. Of course, they are also champions in the Fields of Justice. The main storyline will follow Jinx - the Loose Cannon and Vi - the Piltover Enforcer.

Lol Anime Arcane Piltover
The series will take place in the League of Legends universe.

The League of Legends anime trailer shows the two characters as close friends, but will soon stand on two opposite sides of a fight. Therefore, we can expect it to be about the very origins of two of the most adored champions in the entire game.

Also, Arcane will take place in the League of Legends universe as well. However, it's likely to include only several champions from Piltover and Zaun, including the two main characters.

Debut On Netflix

Just a few days ago, Riot Games made an announcement about the premiere of the new animated series. According to the company, the League of Legends anime opening will be Netflix-exclusive.

Speaking of the series, Dominique Bazay, Director, Original Animation for Netflix, said "The series promises to be a visually spectacular thrill ride that will have viewers on the edge of their seats."

Explaining the decision, Shauna Spenley, Riot Game’s Global President of Entertainment credited Netflix's "incredible global brand and shared goal of delivering premium, high-quality content". She, on behalf of the company, thinks the movie-streaming platform will be the perfect vessel to bring Arcane to fans around the world.

Netflix seems to be attracting quite some attention from gaming companies who are looking to enter the movie scenes. Back in February, it dropped the trailer for Dota: Dragon’s Blood, an animated series inspired by Valve’s multiplayer online battle game DOTA 2. And let's not forget other game-based series such as Castlevania, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, Cuphead, and Assassin’s Creed.

Release Date

So far, we have not received any confirmation about when exactly will the League of Legends anime series is released. All we know is that it will come in this fall. And if things go according to Riot Games' tradition, details will be kept until the last minute for the element of surprise.

Lol Arcane Netflix Vi
The series will make its debut on Netflix.

On top of that, we don't know whether there will be any League Of Legends anime skins. This does seem like a good opportunity for Riot Games to drop some new outfits for the champions in the series. They have done the same with the fictional music groups: K/DA and True Damage.

Arcane - Only on Netflix

The first animated series to come from League of Legends publisher/developer Riot Games is set to premiere later this fall. The series follows the origin story of two iconic League champions, Jinx and Vi. In the trailer, they can be seen in the utopian region of Piltover as well as the oppressed underground of Zaun. Let's wait and see what will happen that tear them apart.

Riot Games confirms the plan to premiere its first animation of the League of Legends franchise on Netflix. This marks the company's first attempt at television. And for China, the series will premiere on Tencent Video in China.

Fans of the popular MOBA game League of Legends can not contain their excitement on the new series premiere. Arcane will shed light on the origin story of two of the most adored champions in the entire game. Riot Games also promises it to be a visual thrill ride that leaves the audience on the edge of their seats.

For so long, fans have begged Riot Games to make a cinematic adaptation of the game. And this time, their wish has been fulfilled. “Arcane was created as a love letter to our players and fans, who have been asking us for more cinematic experiences that dive deeper into the worlds and champions in League of Legends", said Shauna Spenley, Riot Game’s Global President of Entertainment.

However, League of Legends is not the first MOBA game to make its debut on Netflix. The global streaming platform takes pride in delivering premium, high-quality content, making it the perfect partner for those who want a booming debut.

Find out the reason why people are dumping CS:GO for Valorant - The game's 128 tick server is certainly something special.]]>

Shooters are one of the most popular and iconic genres in Esports – even India’s most popular game, PUBG Mobile, is a shooter. However, not everyone understands all the peculiarities behind the mechanic of a shooter game and what Valorant’s 128 tick servers mean.

Maxresdefault
CS:GO killer, Valorant, is doing pretty well so far

In this article, we would explain more about Valorant’s biggest selling point, its server, and how the game is drawing people from CS:GO, Valve’s biggest Esports title.

1 – What is “tick rate”?

Tick rate (measured in Hz) is the frequency that a server would update the visual data players’ received in-game. For example, with a tick rate of 64, a server would be able to send 64 packages of data per second. In shooter games, the higher the server’s tick rate, the better.

2 – What are the effects of a higher tick rate?

Servers with higher tick rate would get more information than lower ones, and this would further reduce the chance that “no reg” happen. Have you ever shoot at a player without dealing any damage? “No Reg” happened – the bullet hit the enemy exactly when a tick refreshes, which causes the object to pass through without getting registered. The higher the tick rate, the lower the chance for a “No Reg” to happen.

Riot has definitely spare no expenses on achieving this - the weakness of a 128 tick server is its cost. As the thing is going to receive twice the information compared to a 64 tick server - the investment cost is almost doubled. While this is partly on Riot's pre-existing League infrastructure, this is still a lot of effort for their first foray into the FPS genre. On Valve's side, 128 tick servers are only available for pro tournaments and LANs.

De Cs Vs Valorant 1200x900
The two games have very similar gameplay

As Riot made this expensive technology available to the masses right away - a lot of CS:GO players have been dropping the game to give Valorant a try.

While the game has released in India, Riot hasn't prepared a server yet and Indian players are still having to play through foreign, farther servers with worse pings. For more information about Valorant's release please check out this post.

Valorant would go live on June 2, 2020. For players in India, Riot would temporarily map the region to either SEA or EU server, whichever is closer. This would definitely cause lag due to the higher latencies – but Riot further assures that they would resolve this problem eventually.

Valorant Meet The Agents

This type of incremental rollout would help Riot in improving their servers to serve the tens of thousands of players who are trying to login.

2 – What platforms is Valorant on?

You can download the game at Valorant's home page.

The launch version of the game would only be available on PC – other consoles and mobile would have to wait for the time being. Based on a few leaks, the PS4, iOS and Android version of the game is in the works.

3 – What are the new additions in the full version of Valorant?

Valorant’s Episode 1: Ignition would include a new hero, a new game mode, and a new map. The new character is called Reyna, who received a brief trailer a few days ago. We only get a vague look at her abilities – she seems to be able to go invisible and steal health from enemies.

The new map, Ascent, is a standard “strategy” map, with a lot of similarities to maps in other FPS games to ease the transition for players. The 3 narrow lanes design is similar to a MOBA – which encourages spread out evenly instead of grouping up together.

4 – Do Closed Beta Players get any rewards for playing Valorant?

Cy5ni6f
Poster for the first season of the game, Ignition

Unfortunately not – CBT players are mostly reset back to square one, except for the game currency they have purchased with real money. Any spent Valorant point would be added back with 20% interests – if you have bought 1k points, you would get back 1.2k. Player pass progression would be kept as well. This decision would give everyone an identical starting point.

<![CDATA[Rank Mode Is Now Available In Valorant ]]> https://gurugamer.com/pc-console/rank-mode-is-now-available-in-valorant-10042 Fri, 01 May 2020 10:15:20 +0000 https://gurugamer.com/pc-console/rank-mode-is-now-available-in-valorant-10042
Riot Games has enabled ranked matchmaking in Valorant but claimed to shut it down should anything goes wrong.]]>

Riot Games has launched Valorant's rank mode in North America, and Europe should get the addition shortly. The recent 0.49 patch note teased the mode, but the devs said they want to make sure everything was well-controlled before hitting the button.

Riot says they’ll shut down ranked mode “if things get weird,” but in case everything goes smoothly, players in the closed beta can choose to try “Competitive” in the game menu. Please note that all of your progress will be deleted before the official launch of Valorant this summer. However, you still can keep any premium in-game currency you’ve purchased. The competitive mode is strictly meant for testing purposes only.

Valorant Ranks 1280x720
Valorant's ranking system

On a different note, there’s something Riot Games don’t have to test. The names for top-ranked players in Valorant should not be called “Valorant.” Both “Valorant ranked Valorant players” and “Valorants” sound inappropriate.

One thing we can be certain about is that Valorant's rank mode will generate lots of opinions, thus, Riot should expect a lot of feedback. Does the matchmaking seem fair? Are the highly skilled players promoted out of lower ranks quickly enough so that the lower-leveled ones don’t feel overwhelmed all the time? Is the solo queuing fun or not?

Valorant Shot Sage
Riot Games decides to take things slowly with Valorant's rank mode

One important note is that just winning doesn’t help you rank up. Personal performance and the decisiveness of your wins also matter.

Another factor to evaluate the success of Valorant's rank mode is how well Riot handles cheatings. It’s expected that people will try to cheat in Valorant, as no popular competitive game is completely protected from it. Riot has been talking publicly about the war against aim-botters and wallhackers. They already exist in the game, and how they manage it may determine the fate of the Valorant.

A requirement to participate in competitive mode is that you have to play 20 unranked games. If you haven’t finished all 20 but still force in Valorant's rank mode, the game client will tell you the exact number of games left.

Riot's first foray into the card game territory, Legends of Runeterra, is finally out for mobile devices. You can already download the game on app stores.]]>

At the beginning of this month, Riot Games revealed that their new strategy card game Legends of Runeterra is going to be released on April 30th - however, it looks like they decided to launch the game 2 days early. Since its free just like every other game from Riot, you can just go to the store page of the game on either Android or iOS to check it out. The launch version of LoR has over 120 cards in total. Having a mobile version is very important for card games, as they would be able to tap into the relatively bigger Mobile player base - the game itself, due to its turn-based nature, is easier to port as well.

The game was originally announced by Riot during the big event last year that marks their official foray into other genres than MOBA. The established lore of League has been built up in years – it has more than enough characters to fill out a card game, similar to how blizzard created Hearthstone from Warcraft. The majority of Runeterra’s characters would be from League, however, more original new characters would be added over time.

Pvs9y8ck7fkrttqovow3ob
The majority of the roster is going to be League champions

The main method to acquire cards in Runeterra would be playing the game – however, players can speed up the process by spending real money on microtransactions, similar to League’s monetary method. The overall gameplay is similar to Hearthstone, with each player picking a champion to represents them – who would then proceed to use supporting cards to fights opponents. All cards are divided into various categories called Regions, with each having a unique playstyle and properties. You would have to create an appropriate combination of cards to go with your intended champion.

Overall, it's just a slightly modified version of the usual mana based cards game on the market, but with League characters. Interested in more of Riot Games' projects similar to this? Please check out this post for a complete review of the Valorant Closed Beta version.

Riot Games didn't allow a player to play their game because he used "Corona" as his in-game name, which is also his family name.]]>

Riot Games and China have been long known for their control over many aspects of players due to political reasons. With the state of the coronavirus outbreak right now, it seems that the word "corona" has caught their radar this time.

A player recently made a post on Reddit saying that Riot forced him to change his name or he won't be able to play League of Legends. The player received the message when he logged into the game on April 1. He then sent a ticket to Riot Support so they whitelist his name.

Riot
After a few weeks chatting with Riot supports, he still couldn't keep his name

In the ticket, he explains that he was first using the name "Squid Corona" for many years and changed his name to only "Corona" since July last year, which is his surname in real-life, so friends can recognize him easily.

However, after two weeks of going back and forth with the 3 different supports of Riot, they came to a final conclusion that he would have to change his name or he won't be able to play the game.

Health Coronaviruschina Wuhan4
The word corona actually has many meanings other than the virus

They basically said that the family name of that player is offensive while other players who made names such as "CoronaVarus, CVD-19, ChinaVrs, CoronaComin4U" are still existing in the game freely. Also in many different languages in the world, "corona" can mean anything other than the virus. In Italy and Spain, "corona" actually means "crown". The word "corona" itself doesn't really have any negative consonant to it and Riot is basically fighting something that not even a problem in the first place.

Pubg Mobile Censor
PUBG Mobile censor the word "Hong Kong" in the world chat

This incident is actually not surprising at all considering how paranoid Riot Games and Tencent have been in the past. During the Hong Kong protest last year, Tencent prevented players in PUBG Mobile from typing "Hong Kong" in the world chat by replacing it with asterisks.

Valorant still feels like CS:GO and Overwatch mixed together, but it looks quite different than we've expected!]]>

Yesterday, we've notified you about Riot Games' Valorant - the first-person shooter that lived under the name 'Project A' since Riot's 10-year anniversary. This name change also went alongside with several screenshots showcasing some in-game features and characters, but today, Riot has decided to reveal even more!

To be more specific, the company behind League of Legends has released a gameplay preview video. Along with that, there is also some information on the specific concept as well as the system requirements. And finally, we can feel relieved now, as you can play Valorant quite smoothly in a low-end PC if the Riot Games can do what they've announced.

Before heading to the details, let's have a look at the gameplay preview trailer first:

What we can see from the trailer

Previously, we've known that Project A - or Valorant now is a first-person shooter with special characters, each with their unique abilities that might refer to League of Legends' character. However, Riot Games has immediately clarified the state, affirming that it will lean more toward Counter-Strike, and the abilities are not going to be out of the roof.

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 4
Valorant is more of a first-person shooter and less of a chaotic game with characters' abilities

And now, we finally see what they meant at that time through the trailer and the information below:

The concept of Valorant

At the first look, Valorant looks extremely similar to CS:GO and Overwatch. Specifically, the overall gameplay feels like CS:GO, where 10 people are divided into two teams of five, and will have to complete certain objectives. The gunfights are quite identical as well, but its seems that the recoil is not that severe like Valve's FPS, which is more user-friendly.

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 2
The recoil in Valorant is quite insignificant

However, the visuals of Valorant contains some futuristic vibes from Overwatch, including the HUDs and some ability indicators in the middle-bottom. From the trailer, we can see the testers perform spike-planting and defusing missions - which is similar to how CS:GO works now.

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 3
Valorant also rotates around planting and defusing spikes

Another identical thing about Valorant and CS:GO is the equipment system. The guns are divided into several types, including knives, sidearms (pistols and shorties), SMGs, Rifles, Heavies and Snipers. At the same time, we also got two types of shiels and some utilities like blazing grenades and other things for unknown purposes. You can have a look at them below:

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 1
The guns and equipment in Valorant

Valorant's characters

Nevertheless, the things that separate this game from CS:GO are the abilities and heroes. According to Riot Games, there will be a roster of heroes for you to choose, including 10 distinctive ones. At this moment, we've known about eight of them, including Brimstone, Cypher, Jett, Omen, Phoenix, Sage, Sova and Viper, and they have no relation to LoL's characters.

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 1
There will be at least 10 characters in Valorant, 8 of which are revealed

Each hero will have four distinctive abilities, including one normal ability, one ultimate and two purchasable ones. For example, Viper's normal ability - Snakebite shots a projectile that leaves an acidic pool on the ground. On the other hand - his two purchasable abilities are Poison Cloud - basically a poisonous smoke bomb and Toxic Screen - a poisonous wall. His ultimate is Viper's Pit - a smoke cloud that allows Viper to trap his enemies and pick them up.

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 5

The normal abilities are usable in every round, and the same goes for the ultimate, which requires charges from kills and objectives. Furthermore, the ultimate abilities will have insanely long cooldown times, which can even last for several rounds, so Valorant's gameplay will focus more on shooting rather than spamming abilities here and there.

Meanwhile, you'll have to purchase the other two at the beginning of each round, which provides you some utilities for the round. The costs of each ability will base on the nature of each champion, and we'll have more champions coming in the future.

The abilities will be super useful but will have insanely long cooldowns

The system requirements of Valorant

Summing up the reveals, Riot Games also announced the minimum as well as the recommended specs to play Valorant. And believe or not, it's much lighter than the modern games we have today like PUBG, Fortnite and even CS:GO!

Here is the specific information, which you can check if your PC meets the requirements or not:

Minimum Requirements:

 • CPU: Intel I3-370M or higher
 • GPU: Intel HD 3000 (1GB) or higher
 • RAM: 4GB
 • Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (only 64-bit)

These specs often appear in the old low-end laptops, which can already run the game at 30FPS with no problems.

Recommended Specs:

In order to run the game with 60FPS, you will have to meet all of these requirements:

 • CPU: Intel I3-4150 or higher
 • GPU: GTX 730
 • RAM: 4GB
 • Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (only 64-bit)

Running the game at 60FPS will allow you to have more favorable experiences with your aiming and overall performances.

High-end Specs:

If you have a modern PC that surpasses the following requirements, you can feel free to max out on the visual options for the best experiences. It will ramp your FPS to 144 and more, which is ideal to play a first-person shooter:

 • CPU: Intel I5-4150 or higher
 • GPU: GTX 1050Ti
 • RAM: 4GB
 • Operating system: Windows 7/8/10 (only 64-bit)

Open beta and release date of Valorant

As you can see, Valorant is very easy to access with its light system requirements. So, the only problem right now is when will Riot Games release Valorant. Unfortunately, there isn't any specific release date for both the official version and the open beta, which we will have to wait for a little longer to find out.

Valorant Gameplay Preview Trailer 7
Valorant might come out this Summer, based on the feedback from the beta stage

However, it will not be longer than this year, since Riot Games has announced that they'll release the full game around this Summer, which means the open-beta will come very soon. Gurugamer will provide you the latest updates on Valorant, so stay tuned with us to receive the notification on the newest information.

What do you think about Valorant? Do you think that it will threaten Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's crown in the first-person shooter genre? Let us know in the comment section below!

Along with a bunch of other projects that Riot announced earlier, there is an FPS game called "Project A." Through the gameplay video of Project A released by riot previously, the game is going to have a character system with many unique characters for different roles in the game like Overwatch. Today, we just found out that Project A is probably is going to be released under the name Valorant. Let's check out some of the images that have been leaked from Valorant.

A character called Sage was leaked in one of the images, giving us more information about characters in Valorant. It seems that each character will have a total of 4 skills that revolve around a certain theme. In this case, Sage is a defense character with 4 skills that involve her Orb called Barrier Orb, Slow Orb, Healing Orb. As each ability says EQUIP, we assume that a character can only use 1 skill at a time.

The leaked screenshot of Valorant shows a character called Sage with 4 skills that revolving around her Orb

There are also 2 other characters called Brimstone and Viper in the picture which might be a support and offense character.

So far CS:GO has been the best FPS esports in the world for a long time. Can this new FPS title form Riot change this and take the throne of it? Especially when CS:GO just broke its own concurrently players count record twice in just a few weeks.

According to the source of this leak, the release date of Valorant is also going to announce very soon so stay tuned and we will update you on the latest news about this game.

A daring step from Riot Games to make benefits from their content-rich universe!]]>

Just a week ago, we've reported to you about Riot Games' ambition to make new story-driven single-player games with establishing its new studio - Riot Forge. The effort seems quite vague at that time, but today, we finally have a clearer look into the project they're working on: Ruined King and Convergence!

The exact name of these two new games are 'Ruined King: A League of Legends Story' and 'Convergence: A League of Legends Story', but we will call them Ruined King and Convergence for short. They are the first efforts of Riot to make single-player games that takes the famous theme of its extremely-famous MOBA League of Legends and also to enlarge its gaming universe as well.

Let's find out what will happen in these two games one by one with its initial details at The Game Awards 2019:

About Ruined King: A League of Legends Story

Ruined King is going to be the elder brother of these two games, since Riot decided to bring this game to limelight first. Below is the trailer for Ruined King, and it's quite eerie with the voice of Thresh (literally a Death with a sickle and a lantern, if you're unfamiliar with the LoL):

Ruined King is a very mysterious entity in League of Legends' franchise, with his name and story mentioned slightly via an item called "Blade of the Ruined King". And realizing the potentials behind this name, Riot has brought us to two of its titular land - Bilgewater and Shadow Isle - the land of souls.

Riot Ruined King Convergence 1
No one knows the exact illustration of Ruined King except for Riot

From the words of Thresh, now we know that he is a servant of the Ruined King, and something bad has been happening to his master. Hence, Thresh has been traveling around the realms to collect souls, waiting for his time to bring the Ruined King back for revenge and make his name remembered throughout the land. His first target is going to be Bilgewater.

Riot Ruined King Convergence 2
Bilgewater will be the first place to suffer from the wraith of the Ruined King

From the early introduction of Riot Forge's representative at The Game Awards 2019, Ruined King is going to be an RPG with turn-based combats. Additionally, the developer behind this game is Airship Syndicate - the minds behind Darksider Genesis, and they said that they're preparing a brand new take on turn-based battles.

Darksiders Genesis Strife And War Uhdpaper Com 4k
The creators of Darksider Genesis is making this game

We haven't known much about this yet, so we'll have to wait for Riot Forge to tease more gameplay images, footage and release date in the future.

About Convergence: A League of Legends story

Unlike his several-hour older brother, Convergence tells the story of a specific champion that we've known about: Ekko. Ekko debuts in 2015 introducing an extraordinary in Zaun - the land of crazy minds and exotic scientific advancement.

You can see the trailer of Convergence below. It doesn't have much useful information about its gameplay, but it tells a little bit about the main character that we will take control of:

Ekko has a special device that allows him to control the time of anything he wants - including himself. In his first League of Legends debut, it only shows that Ekko can turn back time, but through this trailer, it seems that he can fast forward to the future as well. The trailer emphasizes both the voices of the young Ekko and the mature Ekko, with his words of pride: "I can change anything".

Riot Ruined King Convergence 3
Ekko is a young inhabitant of Zaun, who can turn back time

Convergence will be developed by Double Stallion Games, and will be an action-adventure RPG rotating on what Ekko encounter while protecting his homeland Zaun, and how he manipulates time to turn any situation to his advantages. Little do we know about his abilities yet, but it will not be too far from the original champion's skills in LoL.

Riot Ruined King Convergence 4
I'm very curious about his time-manipulating skills in Convergence

Release date and supported platforms

Both Ruined King and Convergence will come out at an unknown date for PC and consoles. The release dates of them were not announced yet.

Are you excited to explore the universe of League of Legends via these single-player games?

Riot Forge is a new studio of Riot Games, which will exploit different aspects of the Runeterra world and make story-driven games based on them.]]>

Just last month, Riot Games let us know that they are working on multiple projects including a shooter game, a fighting game, and even a card game apart from their famous title League of Legends. Now, they just announced that they are partnering with other experienced developers to form a new studio called "Riot Forge," where they only focusing on making single-player story-driven games. All the games will be set in the same universe with League of Legends, Runeterra. You can check out the announcement video of Riot Forge below to know more details.

According to Riot, it is really hard to create a meaningful story for multiplayer games such as League of Legends, so Riot Forge will be the project that changes this situation. All the games that they will make will be set in the world of Runeterra. Riot wants to bring great stories and another whole different experience to this world for players to enjoy. You can still have the breath-taking moments of pack-opening, but without having to pay real money for it!]]>

The nature of a collectible card game is that developers usually try their best to pull money out of players' pockets with microtransactions. People know that it's very consuming, but they can't help but become addicted to buying more and more packages to pull out the cards they need.

However, Riot Games will not take benefits from this hobby with their upcoming deck-building game - Legends of Runettera. Even better, as the game will still give us the satisfaction of pulling random cards out of packs, but not by buying them with real money, but by grinding the game.

Before getting into the details, let's see how this game look below:

Grind Legends of Runeterra for regional rewards!

To clarify this mechanic, Riot Games has explained all of the kinds of rewards that could grant you cards. To be more specific, they are Wildcards, Chests, and Capsules.

First thing first, Wildcards is a package with specific rarity levels, which will give you into a random card lying in those rarity levels or higher. This is the only thing you can buy with real money in Legends of Runeterra, which you can try your luck on.

The two other things are the ones that you can only get by completing certain missions. The Capsules are basically the traditional card packs, which will give you several cards randomly each Capsule. And based on the kind of Capsules you own, they will open up for cards with higher or lower rarity levels.

The biggest one - the Chests will give players several cards, but it also has chances to give the whole capsule as well. Furthermore, opening Chests will grant you Shards as well, which you can use them to upgrade to your wanted cards in the deck builder.

Now, Legends of Runeterra has completed its first testing phase, and it's opening up for more players to join the second phase. This is also the chance to get the Chests and Capsules, and what you'll need to do is very simple. There are several ways to earn those, but all of them are via playing the game.

The first one and also the easiest one is to gain XP for your region. You and potentially thousands of players in the same region will contribute the XP for the region by playing, and the more XP you earn, the more rewards you can get. There are 12 levels now, which means there are also 12 rewards for all players in the region. To get XP, you can simply just playing games, either winning or losing gives a bunch of XP. To make it quicker, you can fulfill some quests that will refresh every day to push the progress.

You can see the list of rewards for each level down here:

If your region reaches level 12, you'll get all 12 rewards!

The second way to pull out some cards is through a weekly reward system called the Vault. This has nothing to do with the server but it only depends on how much XP you earned. The more XP you gained per week, the more rewards you can get after the specific gifting day of the week.

All of the rewards in the Vault are the Chests that vary in rarity levels, and if you manage to get to level 10, you'll get a random Champion card (the rarest card in Legends of Runeterra) extra. The Vault's rewards are specified here:

Don't worry about duplication!

Riot Games has predicted that players will start grinding for cards as quickly as possible, so they've implemented this feature to prevent card duplications. Specifically, if you pull out a card that you've maxed out in your deck, you'll get Shards instead. The numbers of Shards varies for each type of cards - 25 for a normal one, 75 for a rare one.

The rarest ones - the Epic and Champion cards will give out 300 Shards if you've owned every card with this rarity levels. But if you haven't, it will be replaced by a random one with the same rarity instead.

The Champion and Epic cards are the rarest ones in Legends of Runettera

In conclusion, Riot Games want to create a healthy game for dedicated players, allowing them to have a respectable collection without having to pay a fortune. They've estimated that hard-grinding players will need to play from 8 to 10 games per day to unlock the whole set, and even lazier players can unlock around 75% of the deck before a new set come out.

It's the tradition of Riot Games to deliver a game where the amount of money a player paid doesn't decide how good they are, and it seems that they'll keep it with Legends of Runeterra!

League of Legends is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a lot of new projects coming up to all three biggest platforms: PC, mobile, and console.]]>

One of the most famous MOBA titles League of Legends is celebrating its tenth anniversary. Riot Games has just had a huge livestream earlier today to announce tons of new projects of this game developer. Now we know that gamers in our country don’t play League of Legends often, but these new games from Riot Games will focus on the mobile platform, and all of those games look to be free to play. So let’s take a look and see what those new LoL-themed games are, and what else does Riot Games have to offer.

League of Legends coming to Mobile and Consoles with the name Wild Rift

This famous MOBA title will have its own version for the mobile and console platform called Wild Rift. This is actually a separated title from League of Legends (just like PUBG PC and PUBG Mobile). Wild Rift is still a 5v5 MOBA title with the same champions and skills with League of Legends on PC, but the gameplay will be simplified so that gamers can easily control their champions with the control system of the mobile and console platform. As the game is simplified, each match will last about 15 to 20 minutes only.

From now, you can start to register for the open beta of this game. Wild Rift will be officially released for China in early 2020, and the global version of this game will be released a few months later.

Teamfight Tactics will be on Mobile too

Alongside with the LoL-themed MOBA title Wild Rift for the mobile platform, the auto battler game of LoL - Teamfight Tactics – will be coming to the mobile platform as well. This game will also be officially available in Q1 2020. We all know that the auto battler game of Dota 2 – Dota Underlords – supports cross-platform gameplay, but Teamfight Tactics gamers will have to wait for some months until Riot Games release the cross-platform gameplay for Teamfight Tactics.

Announcing League of Legends Hero Shooter, called Project A

This game is still in the development process, so it is given the codename Project A. This will be a tactical FPS title with the League of Legends champions. This game will not be a spin-off title of League of Legends, it just takes the champions of the MOBA game and put it to a competitive shooting title for PC. This game does make us feel like Overwatch, but we hope that it can be better and cheaper than Blizzard’s title.

Riot Games’ Fighting Game, called Project L

This is actually the oldest-rumored project of Riot Games, but until now, this game developer confirms this project. Although this game is still in early development, it is confirmed to be an LoL-themed title. There has not been any other news about this title, but it does have a bright future, given how well-polished the graphics of League of Legends is.

Legends of Runeterra Is The New LoL-themed Free to Play Card Game

Legends of Runeterra (or LoR) is the new card game from Riot Games. It will be in the same universe with League of Legends (unlike Project A). Legends of Runeterra will feature iconic champions from League of Legends, as well as other characters that have not had chances to show up in the MOBA title. This game will be completely free to play, but you still can drop some real money into Legends of Runeterra.

Announcing League of Legends Animated Series called ‘Arcane’

Riot Games has been releasing many animated cinematic videos and animated music videos for years, and all of those videos are successful. So many LoL fans have been waiting for this announcement of these game developers. In the announcement, Riot Games confirmed that Arcane would take Piltover and Zaun as the two first background cities of this first animated series. This series will be released in 2020, and there will be more animated series from Riot Games if Arcane is successful.

League of Legends Esports Manager. Yes, it is a totally new game from Riot Games

We have been playing sports management simulating games for many years, so why not an esports-management simulating game. Riot Games seemingly want to be the first gaming company to catch the new trend, so they have just announced the League of Legends Esports Manager, a simulating game about LoL esports. Players of this game will work to build their own LoL pro teams by acquiring pro players for their teams.

This game will receive update patches regularly, and Riot Games also announced a plan to share the revenue of this game for pro teams and pro players. This is an excellent way to encourage pro teams and players of LoL to develop themselves further.

League of Legends Origins Is a Feature-length Documentary Series About LoL

We have been bringing you news and information about the future projects of Riot Games, how about something that this game developer has already released? In this tenth anniversary of League of Legends, Riot Games has hired Leslie Iwerks – a documentary filmmaker with Academy Award nomination – to make League of Legends Origins. This is a documentary film telling us about the 10-year journey of League of Legends from a free MOBA game to a giant in the gaming industry.

Last but not least, Preseason updates for League of Legends

League of Legends is having its 9th World Championship – the biggest LoL esports tournament of the year. Normally, this is the time for Riot Games to roll out big changes before a new season of the game – the preseason update. This year, the preseason update will be named Rise of the Elements. As the name has pointed out, the focus of this year's preseason update will be the Elemental Drakes of the game.

One more thing, League of Legends players will be welcoming a totally new champion of the game – Senna. Now having new champions is not a strange thing for LoL players, but this will be the first “marksman-like support” of this MOBA title. We will have to wait and see what her skills are specifically.
