Riot Games revealed many hints about VALORANT Mobile which was scheduled to be launched in June 2023. But it seems that the game will be delayed for a long time because Riot Games has not been satisfied with the mobile version that Tencent developed.

Agent 16 is a robot with the name of KAY/O and he does throw his knife to disrupt the enemies. He can also flash and redefine the meta with his ultimate skill. Eager for more? (E) ZERO/Point

This ability equips KAY/O with a suppression blade. It will throw on Fire and stick to the first surface it hits. All players within the radius of the explosion will be suppressed. Yeah, it's the same knife we saw from earlier leaks.

(Q) FLASH/Drive

Equip a flash grenade that explodes after a short fuse, blinding anyone in the line of sight. If KAY/O Right Click the flashbang, he will throw a charged flash that only cooks for 1 second, as opposed to 1.6 seconds when left-click.

(C) FRAG/Ment

The Agent will equip an explosive fragment. Once thrown, the fragment sticks to the floor and explodes multiple times, dealing lethal damage at the center with each explosion.

(X) NULL/cmd

When activated, this ability overloads KAY/O and causes large energy pulses to emit from his location. Enemies hit with these pulses are suppressed for a short duration. While in Overload mode, KAY/O gains Combat Stim. If he is killed while overloaded, he will enter a destabilized state, allowing allies to stabilize his core and revive him.

How to get Valorant Pride Cards in June 2021

By redeeming codes on Valorant’s official redemption site, you will get the cards for free. Here’s a quick and simple guide to walk you through all the required steps:

• 1. Visit Valorant’s official redemption website.
• 2. Log in to ID for Riot Games.
• 3. Type in the code of the card you wish to redeem.
• 4. Launch Valorant game.

Getting the Pride cards has never been easier. However, they might take some time to arrive in your account. The redeeming portal is unusable sometimes due to the massive number of players attempting to try the redeem codes.

In case the site is unresponsive, just wait and try later. Ever since Riot Games brought the Duality player card as well as the Pride Player cards forward, its redemption portal has seen high traffic. And finally, three days ago at the Summer Games Fest, Riot Games dropped the first look of what might be our Agent 16. It appears that the new Valorant agent will be a robot!

Riot Games Reveals Valorant New Agent 16 At 2021 Summer Games Fest

It has been a year since Valorant’s launch and we’re closing in on its third episode release. Major new content is coming to the game, most notably, the debut of Valorant Agent 16. So far, all we know about whom is very little. And we can give Riot Games credits for keeping the information secret for so long.

But everything changed at the 2021 Summer Games Fest, a digital video game showcase event that has kicked off E3. On June 10th, Riot Games revealed a teaser trailer for Agent 16, a very first look at the agent. And as you can see in the video above, it appears as though we're having some sort of a robot.

Valorant New Agent Leak Information

Valorant data miners first discovered a strange codename - ‘Grenadier’, buried in a new file last month. The name itself certainly gives us some intel about Agent 16's role in the game as well as its lore. In the military, grenadiers are typically strong soldiers who are tasked with sieging forts using throwable grenades and assault weapons. From there, we can expect the new agent to be a heavy hitter.

Valorant Agent 16 Abilities

So far, what we know about Agent 16's skills is still a blur. From the information we have, we can only make guesses about his abilities. However, a Valorant new Agent leak suggests that Grenadier may use some sort of throwable explosive or charged device to throw at his enemies.

The biggest clue we have ever got about Agent 16 is a comment made by John Goscicki, Valorant’s character producer. In a “State of the Agents” article published at the end of May, he said:

“This is an Agent whose utility can create moments where you must rely on your gunplay. The new Agent is coming soon enough, and we’re looking forward to seeing what you think when they finally say hello!”

Now, if you tie this comment with the name "Grenadier", it may shed some light on the new agent's ability. He can be using an EMP device to “create moments where you must rely on your gunplay" by breaking utilities. We have seen such mechanics in ova’s arrows, Killjoy’s bots, and Cypher’s cameras.

Or if you think about the possibility that Agent 16 is a robot, Grenadier may have the ability to hack other agents and stop them from using their skills.

A new leak informed by Valorant data miner ValorLeaks has just surfaced, uncovering files that refer to a “Suppression” buff. This strengthens the assumption that Valorant Agent 16 will have some sort of ability that can disarm or suppress other agents.

Updated Lore Theory

About 1 week ago, Valorant dropped new lore cinematic to fill in about the Agents of the mirror verse. In the video, we see another Phoenix that not only looks exactly like him, by also possesses the pyromancer ability.

You may not know this, but at the time when the Summer Games Fest trailer went out, the entire Valorant Twitter channel was renamed "Killjoy" and decked out with her profile picture. Then there's the picture below shows a conversation between Killjoy and Brimstone, suggesting her relation to Grenadier.

The Valorant community is tieing these links together to assume that Killjoy may be the one who builds the robot. After all, she's quite handy with technology.

In-Game Teasers

Unfortunately, we haven't got any Valorant new agent trailer yet, but we do have a few teasers to analyze. Just as in the case of Agent 15, there has already been a ton of hints at Agent 16’s impending arrival.

The images above show a teaser on the Breeze map. There’s a knife stuck in one of the Radianite boxes, and it doesn't seem like a typical knife. Does it mean Grenadier will be throwing knives that react to the Radianite within the other Agents to disable their utility?

More notably, there’s also new signage just below the portal above Breeze A site that reads “ARRIVAL IMMINENT”.

Valorant New Agent Release Date

Since Riot changed its typical Agent release schedule by not releasing one per Act this episode, it may signal that Valorant new agent Grenadier is coming for the launch of Episode 3. According to the timeline, Episode 3, Act 1 should kick off on June 22, 2021, one day after the current battle pass expires.

It seems like we only have to wait for 10 more days to unveil the mystery that is Grenadier - Agent 16.

Just recently the Indian Valorant community found out that Xhade, a pro player cheated in ranked matché in Valorant and he was permanently banned immediately from the  TEC Invitational. Son after that, Binks also admitted that he let another person play his account at the ESPL PowerUp India Qualifiers.

Both of these players were in team Paratroops and they will be prevented from joining ESPL events in the near future.

ESPL has been really upset over this turn of events as the tournament is just getting more attention with 15 thousand viewers across all platforms and channels.

Many fans actually get upset about this decision of ESPL, defending that Binks was sick so he needed someone else playing for him. However, this argument didn't hold well as ESPL won't tolerate “any dishonest and unsportsmanlike behavior that undermines the credibility of the ranking systems".

With 2 players being banned, team ParaTroops is going to need some serious changes to solve all these problems when they come back in July.

Cheating is unacceptable behaviour in any kind of esports and it might even potentially ruin the whole scene.

Many people must still remember the Forsaken cheating incident back in 2018. He was caught using aimbot during the Extremesland Zowie Asia CS:GO 2018 LAN tournament in Shanghai, just when the CS:GO esports scene in India showed some potential. The incident has completely destroyed the CS:GO esports scene in India before it can even exist.

In order to not let that happens again, tournaments need to strictly follow their rules and makes sure that everyone is playing fair.

As Valorant started to establish some early footprints in India, several tournaments are continuously arriving in town. Following the Valorant Invitational held by NODWIN Gaming, the first-ever competitive tournament named ‘Valorant Agni Series 2020’ will soon take place in the coming weeks, according to NODWIN.

‘Valorant Agni Series 2020’ is said to boast a total of Rs. 6,25,000 worth of prize money for two categories: the first part will make its way to the main competitive event while the other is for the influencer program.

Not long after the culmination of Valorant Invitational that welcomed a bunch of famous figures in the Indian gaming community like Xyaa, V3NOM, or Hydraflick, those who are interested in the Agni Series can apply for registration since 6th August.

Without a doubt, this is the first time such a professional Valorant tournament gets ready to be launched across the country. As we already talked above, public participation will be a part of the ‘Agni Series 2020’ and it’s likely to take about 64 days. The tournament is set to have four online qualifiers, who will compete in separate finals.

Winners of the aforementioned online qualifiers will fight against each other on 23rd Oct to take over the throne as well as a lion’s share of the overall reward. In fact, the prize pool will be allocated in this way: a whopping Rs. 6,25,000 will be handed to the best performers and the remaining Rs. 2,00,000 is reserved for Agni Series’ influencer program.

As Valorant started to make its own way into India, gamers in the country now have another battlefield to compete altogether. In a recent interview, NODWIN Gaming also disclosed that every single move they’re taking is mainly focusing on this tactical FPS game.

NODWIN Gaming founder Akshat Rathee was the host of a talk show named “Docu-series” on July 26th, in which he mentioned about the esports landscape in both India and South East Asia alongside the promising impact it’ll bring in the near future.

The show welcomed a series of notable figures in the gaming industry, such as Riot Games’ senior executives Sukamal Pegu and Luciano Rahal, Fnatic’s Nimish Raut, famous streamer Shagufta Iqbal, etc.

NODWIN Gaming already planned for its very first Valorant Invitational, which will go live on August 4th. As reported, the tournament hosts a total of eight teams, including 8BITTHUG, V3NOM, NODWIN, Riot, Hydraflick, Fnatic Nemo, Team Xyaa, and Global Esports.

Ping is still a longstanding issue for Valorant players in India as people are having to participate in the game through SEA servers, leading to a much higher ping (about 150!) as well as ineffective gameplay.

Not long ago, Riot and Paytm did hold a meeting to discuss the future of Valorant in India, especially when it comes to an Indian Valorant server that will take place by the end of this year. 3. Create a professional Valorant league in India.

Prior to this, Paytm First Games established a joint venture between it and Riot Games to hold the first TFP in the region, which already took place from June 17 to June 21.

Valorant has been doing pretty well since its official launch in June, with a steadily rising player count, a decent audience on Twitch, and generally positive reviews on gaming sites. It has taken the best aspects of Overwatch and CS:GO and blend them together to create a unique game.

But the release version is not without its faults. Yesterday, Riot has just released a big update for the game in order to clear out some of the bugs – and in this article, we would list out the most notable changes in Valorant Patch Notes 1.02.

1 – Agent Updates

Viper got the most buffs in this patch. Reyna, Cypher and Jett also received a few small tweaks.

• Toxic Screen now damages through walls and can be placed on all valid locations.
• Enemies hit by Snake Bite would be hit with a debuff named Fragile, which increases their damage taken.
• Poison Orb’s cooldown increases from 5 to 6

• Soul Orbs now properly spawned when Reyna kill Phoenix with Run It Back active.

Jett

• Blade Storm now properly refreshes when used to kill Phoenix with Run It Back active.

Cypher

• Spy Cam now can’t be used to block Spike defusal.
• Cyber Cage can’t be placed on a Trapwire
• Spy Cam can’t go through Teleporter on Bind

Smoke Tuning

• Decreased nearsighted intensity.
• Decreased blind “falloff” value.
• Adjusted tuning around screen effects when exiting and entering smokes.

2 – Weapon updates

Running with right click (Bucky) is more inaccurate now.

• Run Accuracy: 3.5 >>> 6.4
• Walk accuracy: 6.4 >>> 4.4
• Crouch-walking accuracy: 3.45 >>> 4.1

3 – Competitive mode

Introduced during the first closed beta, the ranked competitive mode sadly did not make the cut during the official launch of the game… until now. The developer delayed it to spend more time working on stability, along with giving new players the hang of the game first.

With the launch of the patch, ranked competitive mode is now available. Some changes have been made since the closed beta version such as icons for ranks and a different name for the highest tier. Besides that, the Competitive mode would have a segregated team matchmaking system for people who are partying up with friends.

5 – Battlepass changes

• Hovering Battlepass in the nav shows a sneak peek of the next pass rewards. Clicking them goes to a new Battlepass section.
• Added a small progress bar below the text that shows progress for the current pass level
• Added Battlepass text button in the nav to make it easier to find.

6 – QoL improvements

• An option for early surrender has been added in this patch. Players who don’t want to play the match to its completion could choose to surrender and quit. This is not a surprise at all, with the game made by Riot – the surrender button is also a feature in League of Legend.
• To activate the feature, you can type: “/ff” “forfeit” “concede” or “surrender”. For the vote to pass, all players on the surrendering team have to vote Yes. You can choose either Yes or No using the F5 and F6 keys.

• Votes can only be called twice and cannot happen before the eighth round is reached. One the vote is created, the option to vote would begin in the next round – unless you call it in early enough in the buy phase so that it could be activated immediately.
• The winners would get round win credit for every round their team needed to reach 13. The losers would get round loss credit the same way.
• You can now permanently mute texts from enemies. This is one of the most demanded features - a lot of people have been asking for this to reduce trash talk.

7 – Update to Tagging

Valorant has a special effect called Tagging, which slows players down when hit by enemy fire. Update 1.02 has cut down this effect slightly.

• Increased the time it takes to reach the desired slow amount when tagged by 100%
• Tagging Movement Speed Reduction (Wall Penetration) 35% >> 25%
• Tagging Movement Speed Reduction (Standard) 80% >> 70%

8 – Mode updates in Valorant Patch Notes 1.02

Spike Rush

• Tracer Orb added.
• Speed Boost changed to Combat Stim, which increases the speed of every action you perform.
• Plague Orb now shares a pool with Paranoia Orb and Deception Orb. Only one of these will be chosen per game and only one Orb can spawn per round.

Practice Mode

• Jett: Killing practice bots now properly refreshes Blade Storm.
• Reyna: Killing practice bots now properly spawn Soul Orbs.

Along with all the above changes, Valorant 1.02 Update also implemented various performance adjustments, UI and HUD improvements, bug fixes, and more.
