• Dead Cells serves up a real challenge
 • Bloons TD 6 continues to pull people in
 • Playing online games at McLuck is a great option
 • Genshin Impact’s still going strong

For fans of mobile gaming, it has been fairly difficult to justify their passion for it in previous times. Likewise, the same applies to tablet users, too. Since technology-based innovation has gripped the world, though, gaming on an Android device has reached new heights.

The days of Snake have been replaced by leading PC and console titles that have made a successful transition over to Android, while people are snapping up accessories to enhance the overall experience. People can add game controllers, virtual reality headsets and even stream their gaming escapades to audiences around the world on popular streaming platforms like Twitch. Android gaming has essentially worked its way up the gaming ranks to become one of the biggest and best gaming opportunities in today’s innovative world.

One issue that is certainly leveled at Android gaming is that it has become somewhat saturated, though. In fact, there are practically thousands of products on offer when searching the App Store, making it tricky to know the exact releases to put your time and effort into. Thankfully, that’s where we’ve got you covered. Let’s take a look at some of the leading Android games below.

Game

Dead Cells serves up a real challenge

Widely regarded as being one of the toughest Android titles to complete in the modern environment, Dead Cells isn’t a free game but it certainly represents a quality product. A title that has received glowing reviews and continues to be downloaded by gamers today, this action-adventure game is a delight to session as you make the most of a fun creation that offers players plenty of stuff to do and environments to explore. Throw in the additional Metroidvania elements and Dead Cells is a blast to play for a few hours.

Bloons TD 6 continues to pull people in

After a somewhat slow start, Bloons TD 6 has experienced notable growth to become one of the best Android games to play right now. Although it isn’t free, this tower defense game is well worth the small investment it costs to download it. There are loads of levels to conquer, towers to navigate your way through, an all-around fun offering, and the inclusion of online cooperative multiplayer is a nice touch that deserves being sampled. Updates continually keep the game fresh, too. Overall, Bloons TD 6 is a game that deserves some serious attention.

Playing online games at McLuck is a great option

Although downloadable titles tend to hog the limelight and be featured in the charts, browser games are still accessible and represent an enticing opportunity. Playing online games at McLuck (website) is a particularly popular pastime at the moment, with this fun and entertaining gaming site hosting a range of releases to get through. From Mummy Power and Wild Hike, to The Greatest Catch and Big Bass Splash, there is something for everyone on this neat and visually pleasing site. The games are genuinely enjoyable to play, too.

Genshin Impact’s still going strong

Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact isn’t exactly new this year, but it’s a game that continues to impress. For a free-to-play release, this action RPG title with gacha mechanics is quite remarkable and represents one of the best Android gaming escapades you can possibly embark on. Not only is there plenty of exploration to undertake, but the game offers excellent gameplay and glorious visuals to provide one of the most relaxing gaming packages on earth as you explore the game’s open-world environment.

Other titles to consider include GRID Autosport, Rocket League Sideswipe, Sky: Children of Light, Streets of Rage 4, Legends of Runeterra, Arena of Valor, and Chrono Trigger.

Jarilo-VI is the most content-packed region in Honkai Star Rail so far - check this post for all of its hidden quests.]]>

In addition to the well-known Trailblaze, Companion, and Adventure Quests, Honkai: Star Rail contains numerous concealed Missions. While some are easily discoverable or connected to other Quests, others lack any indicators, requiring players to thoroughly search in order to activate these hidden Missions.

The issue lies in the fact that, unlike regular Quests in Honkai: Star Rail where the next location is known, hidden Missions do not provide such convenience. Trailblazers must interact with various characters to gather hints regarding the next Quest location. Moreover, finding certain requested items can be challenging due to the absence of clues. The majority of rewards for these hidden Missions are Shields, which can be used to purchase items from the World Shop.

Fix the dumpster found slightly south of the Food Stall in Boulder Town to get one Praise of High Morals.

Within the Administrative District, multiple Mailboxes can be found. These Mailboxes offer two choices: either push the jammed mail to receive a Praise of High Morals or collect it and hand it over to Manya for "sending" (which actually involves either throwing it in the trash or keeping it for herself). Opting for the latter grants a reward of 1,000 Credits.

If you are looking for racing games to play on the go, these 10 games are probably the best bang for your buck.]]>

Racing games are a video game genre in which players frequently compete against one another or the clock over a variety of tracks or courses. These games frequently allow players to race in a variety of vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and even boats.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 10 best racing games to play on Android and iOS in 2023.

1. Rush Rally 3

For those who love rally racing, Rush Rally 3 is a must-try game. It provides a racing simulation on your phone that is almost as good as console quality. The game has various solo and multiplayer mode for you to choose from, and its controller support + touch control system can be customized at will.

Its real time damage system make the game more realistic as colliding with other objects or vehicles would make your car will accurately deform and break. Although the graphics may not be the most cutting-edge, if you are looking for an authentic rally experience, this game is the way to go.

2. GRID Autosport

The Android version of GRID Autosport is one of the most recent versions of the game, which was originally released in 2014 on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Although the game's graphics may seem somewhat outdated nowadays, it remains the best option available on the Play Store for experiencing a console-like racing game. Despite its age, the game still includes several modern racing features, such as soft body deformation.

In contrast to Asphalt 9's arcade racing style, GRID Autosport provides a more authentic experience. To fully immerse yourself in the game, it is recommended to use a controller.

3. Asphalt 9: Legends

Achieving the ideal blend between an arcade racer and a racing simulation is Asphalt 9. Although the game uses real-world vehicles, components, and locations, its main emphasis is on the racing experience rather than the pressure of precisely timing gear changes. The game is simple to pick up yet offers a respectable amount of difficulty. The range of control options offered to the player in Asphalt 9—including tilt-steering, touch controls, and a feature that helps with acceleration and steering—improves the game's accessibility. Even if it's not totally automated, this choice makes the game more enjoyable without taking away from the need to move quickly to win. Asphalt 9 is the best game to get if you want to play it on an Android tablet.

4. Horizon Chase

A retro-style racing game with many quality-of-life features is called Horizon Chase. Despite a few contemporary improvements, it nonetheless preserves its roots and caters to individuals who grew up playing racing games in the early 1990s. Bold colors, precise polygons, and a variety of seasons and weather situations show that appealing racing games may be made without using high-fidelity visuals.

Horizon Chase, although having a more straightforward design, offers just as many exciting conclusions as Asphalt 9. It is the perfect option for anyone looking for a quick, enjoyable, and straightforward racing experience.

5. Trials Frontier

Motorcycle racing may be exciting, despite the fact that racing is typically associated with cars. Unfortunately, Android does not have a lot of high-quality motorbike racing games. Trials Frontier, on the other hand, is a fantastic alternative that combines stunt performance with racing, making it a well-liked option for winning leaderboards.

Trials Frontier may not appeal to those who like a realistic racing game, but it outperforms most of its rivals in terms of pure entertainment value. It is commonly regarded as the top Android motorcycle game.

6. CSR 2

Try CSR 2 if you're having problems in GRID Autosport perfecting your corner drifts. With this game's emphasis on drag racing, you can improve your gear-changing skills rather than your cornering ability. In the incredibly realistic simulator CSR 2, you can completely modify and race the car of your choice.

Even though the game encourages microtransactions, you can still play it for free. If you want a mobile high-speed racing game, this is a fantastic option.

7. Mario Kart Tour

One of the most well-known racing game franchises is Mario Kart, and Mario Kart Tour has now made a reputation for itself after a few years of dubious design decisions. With several unique features, it offers the traditional Mario Kart experience on mobile devices. For instance, the "Tour" component relates to tracks based on actual places, and there are new, original game types.

Maxresdefault 3

Mario Kart Tour is primarily a multiplayer game that lets you compete against other players locally or globally. Although rank advancement will be fun for competitive players, this amazing racing game is especially suited to casual players. Don't be hesitant to give this one a try if you can't play Mario Kart on a Nintendo console; you won't be sorry.

8. Data Wing

Data Wing is evidence that authentic environments or licensed vehicles aren't necessary for a fantastic racing game. Instead, it uses plain forms and neon lights to produce an exciting racing experience. Despite its brief length, the game stands out from the other racing games on this list thanks to its story-driven design.

Despite not supporting controllers, Data Wing is a true arcade game that is engrossing from start to finish. Others may welcome the break from the competitive atmosphere, while some players may miss the ability to play with others in multiplayer mode. To compete for the fastest times, there are leaderboards accessible.

9. Rush Rally Origins

Top-down racing games may not have the same level of realism as classic first-person racing games, but they may still put your driving skills to the test. With influences from its forerunners, Rush Rally Origins is a strong contender in its genre and offers a thrilling rally experience.

Rush Rally Origins' adaptability in terms of controls is one of its advantages. Depending on their preference, players can connect a controller or use the on-screen controls. Additionally, Play Pass customers can access the game for free, making it a great choice for anyone seeking for a top-notch racing game without having to pay for it.

10. Assoluto Racing

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 10 best strategy games on Android in 2023.

1. Civilization VI

The most recent iteration of the Civilization franchise, which is well-known and adored by strategy fans everywhere, is now accessible on mobile devices. While the game is mostly the same on Android comparing to its Desktop version, it is recommended to use a tablet to play as there are lots of micromanagement to do. Players in Civilization VI are responsible with governing and running any civilization of their choosing, from the Huns to England.

To succeed, players must overcome rival civilizations, conduct research to improve their technology, and spread their religion. The game is highly engaging and can consume hours of your time, although it may experience performance issues on older devices during late-game stages.

2. Bad North

Bad North is a roguelike game with a Viking theme where players must lead their troops against waves of ruthless marauders who seek to spill blood on the ground. Before the battle begins, players provide general instructions to their soldiers, who then respond intuitively to the enemy's actions. This design approach eliminates the need for micro-management, allowing players to focus on the larger battle. Similar to Into the Breach, a single misstep can lead to defeat, causing players to restart the game, making it crucial to plan every move carefully.

Apart from its gameplay mechanics, Bad North is also notable for its stunning visuals. Each procedurally generated island features picturesque cliffs and flowers that enhance the overall aesthetics. Players can take a moment to appreciate the view before the island turns into a battlefield, with the ground being drenched in blood.

3. Into the Breach

Into the Breach is a roguelike puzzle game where players defend humanity from destruction by space bugs. Each combat is limited to five turns, and players can only restart the game once if they make a mistake. The key to winning is to strategically position the mechs to trap the Vek, causing them to attack each other or perish in flames. However, a single error in your tactics can result in disastrous consequences for your battle.

4. The Battle of Polytopia

If you enjoy playing Civilization VI but prefer a more laid-back game, The Battle of Polytopia might be the perfect choice for you. This isometric strategy game may look simple, but it offers everything that more popular 4X games provide. Once you've chosen your tribe, you'll have to engage in warfare, diplomacy, and espionage to achieve success. There are three distinct paths to victory, and players need unique strategy for each.

The Battle of Polytopia is easy to play but hard to master. It is intricate, fulfilling, and a game that you shouldn't miss.

5. Total War: Medieval II

Total War: Medieval II is regarded as one of the best games in the Total War series, and its Android version is nearly identical to the original. You don't need to worry about control as the interface has been overhauled for mobile devices to make playing more pleasant. It may take some getting used to directing enormous armies with a touchscreen, but the UI is simple enough that you'll master it soon and win fights. For the greatest experience, we recommend playing this game on a tablet.

6. Bloons TD 6

The Bloons franchise, once a prominent figure in the online flash game industry, has successfully transitioned to mobile devices. Bloons TD 6 is the most recent addition to the series and is regarded as the finest. At its core, it is a relatively simple tower defense game where players must place monkeys to protect against waves of incoming enemies. The idea of monkeys battling balloons may appear absurd, but it takes skillful use of every tool available to emerge victorious.

Bloons TD 6 offers an extensive range of game modes and maps. Although the standard game mode is sufficient to keep players engaged for several hours, trying out one of the more challenging modes can reveal how well you understand the mechanics of monkeys and balloons.

7. Rusted Warfare

Rusted Warfare is a complete real-time strategy game available on mobile that pays homage to the RTS games of the 90s. You have a vast range of units to command, from small tanks to enormous battleships, although the graphics appear outdated, it's deliberate to capture the essence of classic RTS games like Total Annihilation.

The tumultuous battles might seem intimidating at first, but Rusted Warfare is deceptively simple to pick up. The touch controls make it effortless to direct groups of units into combat, and the small number of buildings make it easier to manage your production lines.

8. Northgard

Northgard adopts the 4X strategy formula but presents it in a more condensed RTS format. You'll still need to develop your economy, research new technology, and defeat your enemies, but unlike Civilization VI, games in Northgard won't take more than a few hours. This makes it ideal for strategy game enthusiasts who want a challenging game without the time commitment of multiple days.

9. Sigma Theory

Sigma Theory is a game that revolves around espionage, where you're in charge of leading a team of agents to exploit a significant scientific breakthrough that can change the world. The game has a similar vibe to XCOM, but it doesn't involve battles. Instead, your choices during conversations are crucial, and a wrong decision can have severe consequences later in the game. Therefore, it's crucial to be careful while interacting with powerful organizations.

10. XCOM 2

Each move counts, and while one bad decision can lead to disaster, executing the perfect ambush is a sensation that cannot be replicated. There is also a wealth of customization options available, allowing you to build a squad that is completely unique to your style.

An introductory handbook for Honkai: Star Rail that will assist you in making a powerful beginning in the game!]]>

Honkai: Star Rail is an RPG that follows a turn-based gameplay model and bears a strong resemblance to classic JRPGs, particularly the Final Fantasy series. The game comprises two distinct modes: overworld and battle. In the overworld mode, you navigate the map, and when you come across an enemy group, you will switch to the battle mode, where you must engage in turn-based combat to emerge victorious.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase what to do in Star Rail right after the game start in order to be the most efficient as possible.

What to do after tutorial?

The tutorial in Honkai: Star Rail takes approximately 30-60 minutes to complete, and it does a decent job of familiarizing you with the basic mechanics of the game. However, after unlocking Warping and performing your initial pulls, the game becomes more open-ended, allowing you to pursue your own interests.

Nevertheless, before embarking on a quest to explore Herta Station and uncover all the chests and lore items, we advise that you concentrate on completing the Main Story quests. Why? Because even though you have finished the tutorial, there are numerous other features that remain locked behind the main storyline, such as Daily Missions, Leveling Rewards, Trailblaze Power (stamina), and so on.

Missions

Screenshot 2023 04 24 075558
Star Rail Missions

Upon opening your Mission log in Honkai: Star Rail, you will be presented with an array of mission types to undertake, as follows:

 • Trailblaze Missions (gold color): These missions are essential for advancing the storyline, and you should prioritize them if one is available. As depicted in the image above, your progress through the main story may be impeded by your Trailblaze Level. At this juncture, you should engage in other missions to earn experience and level up.
 • Companion Missions (purple color): These missions delve into the histories of certain characters who have joined your team. While they are not as lengthy as Trailblaze missions, they are more story-driven and will take up a considerable amount of your time.
 • Adventure Missions (blue color): These are your typical side-quests that are brief but provide you with experience and some rewards.
 • Daily Missions (green color): While not displayed in the above image, these missions are even shorter than Adventure missions and are randomized daily.

Next steps

Having acquainted yourself with the different types of missions, it's time to refocus on the Main Story!

The upcoming Trailblazer Mission will introduce Herta and the Simulated Universe. The Simulated Universe is a game mode that follows the roguelike format, in which the player must pick a team of four characters and enter a simulated world to acquire a randomized set of power-ups that can be utilized to bolster their team's abilities when fighting against foes within the simulation.

Make your way to Herta's office and complete the trial run of the Simulated Universe. This will grant you access to Herta, but she is not particularly powerful, so it's best to keep her on the bench. Although you could undertake another Simulated Universe run immediately, it's better to hold off for now and return to the Main Story.

Before long, you will depart from Herta Station and embark on a journey to the Astral Express. There, you will gain access to two new systems: Operation Briefing and Trailblaze Level Rewards.

Operation Briefing is a collection of missions that bestow various rewards upon completion. In total, there are nine pages, each containing its own set of missions and primary rewards. Here's an example of what it looks like:

Guide Operationbrief
Operation Briefing

At the same time, you will also gain access to Trailblaze Level Rewards. Moving forward, every time you increase your level, you can return to Pom-Pom to claim some complimentary items:

Trailblaze Level Rewards

Following that, some story events will take place and you will eventually find yourself on a new planet, where you will be freezing cold. Luckily, before long, you will encounter your initial Calyx and gain access to your Trailblaze Power, which is essentially the equivalent of stamina in Honkai: Star Rail.

Guide Calyx
Calyx

There are multiple sorts of Calyx, but initially, you will only have access to the Bud of Memories Calyx, which provides Character EXP Materials. As your Trailblaze Power will be limited to 180/180, run a few sessions in the Calyx to restart its regeneration, and utilize the materials you've received to enhance your primary team.

At this point, you have gained entry to the majority of the systems, enabling you to go back to the Herta Station and commence completing side-missions or continue with the Main Story on Jarilo-VI. Enjoy yourself!

Tips and tricks for progression

Here is a list of tips and tricks to help you progress smoothly in the early game:

General

 • Prioritize the Main Story before exploring the world. Only venture out to level up when necessary to unlock the next Main Story mission.
 • Level up your characters to the current level cap as the difference in levels between you and your enemies affects the damage you deal.
 • Equip Light Cones that match your character's Path to receive passive bonuses in addition to basic stats.
 • Level up your Light Cones to the available level cap.
 • Don't spread your resources too thin. Initially, your resources are limited, so focus on farming the EXP Calyx for character EXP materials.
 • Only upgrade the Traces of characters you plan to use in the long run.
 • Check the Tier List guide for the best early-game characters that are a safe investment.
 • Don't let your Trailblaze Power (stamina) exceed 180 TP, which is the maximum you can store. You regenerate 240 TP daily at a rate of 1 per 6 minutes.
 • Wait until the last day before reset to do your 3 weekly Echo of War runs for better rewards.
 • Reach level 40 cap in the first week to unlock higher difficulty EoW and earn better rewards.
 • Complete enough runs in Simulated Universe to unlock all the weekly rewards.
 • Remember to check the Region Shops for important materials and Eidolons for the Main Character.
 • Obtain the currency for the Region Shop by completing missions in the zone where the shop is located.
 • Always send out your characters on Assignments to gain free materials. You can still use them in combat while they're on Assignments.
 • Complete Battle Pass Daily and Weekly missions to earn decent free path rewards.
 • Explore the world thoroughly to find hidden Treasures, enemies, puzzles, and quests for experience, Stellar Jades, Relics, and various materials.
 • If you're stuck on a difficult fight, borrow a character from a Friend.
 • Complete Trial of the Equilibrium missions to increase your Equilibrium Level.
 • At levels 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 65, you will unlock a mission to upgrade your world level and level up your characters past the current cap.
 • Don't rush the Equilibrium upgrade Missions if you don't have enough EXP and Ascension materials saved as monsters will become harder to defeat in the new world tier.

Combat

 • Break Effect is the most important thing to focus on in combat. By investing in this one stat, you can easily deal massive damage to the enemy's HP bar once their Toughness Bar is broken. In the early and mid game, it's better to prioritize Break Effect over Crit since it only requires one stat investment instead of three.
 • Build a balanced team with skill point spenders and generators. Having a team with only damage dealers can lead to poor damage output due to competition for Skill Points. Generators, typically supports, don't need to use their Skills every turn, which allows your spenders to use their Skills more frequently.
 • Make sure to match your damage dealers to the enemy's weakness, especially bosses. Breaking the Toughness Bar takes a long time without matching elements.
 • Consider using a more defensive team in the early game, as some bosses have tough mechanics that can chip away at your team's health. Running a healer/shielder combo is a safe option. In Simulated Universe, running a defensive team is necessary if you don't want to waste time.
 • Don't hesitate to use Technique Points, as there are items that can restore them scattered throughout the game. Match your character's element to the enemy's weakness when using a Technique.
 • If a Technique gives a buff, you can stack them, but offensive Techniques should be used after stacking the buff Techniques. This is especially useful before difficult fights in Forgotten Hall and Simulated World.

Relics

It's not necessary to upgrade every single Relic piece you come across because the materials required for upgrades are scarce. If you use them all up, you will need to obtain more Relics to feed into the ones you want to upgrade. This leads to the next point... In the early game, it's not wise to spend your stamina on farming Relics. Further details on Stamina usage are provided in the section below.

Warps

Avoid using Stellar Jades to pull on the General Warp. Instead, reserve the Basic Passes that you receive from rewards and missions for that banner. Save your Stellar Jades for rate-up banners or for stamina refreshes.

Stamina usage

In the first couple of weeks, it's best to prioritize three things when using your Stamina:

First, focus on farming Golden Calyx: Bud of Memories and Golden Calyx: Bud of Aether to acquire Character and Light Cone EXP Materials. Second, farm Crimson Calyx to acquire materials necessary to level up your Traces to improve your skills and passives. Lastly, farm Stagnant Shadow to acquire materials necessary to ascend your characters. Ascension materials are required every 10 levels starting from level 20, so you'll need plenty of them.

However, it's recommended to only farm Golden Calyx when you need EXP Materials. If your team and their Cones are already at the current level cap, then ignore the Calyx until you increase it again. This means that you should focus more on Traces and Ascension materials.

It's not advisable to spend your Stamina on farming Relics in the early game. Initially, in the Cavern of Corrosion, you'll only be able to farm 3★ Relics with a chance to get 4★ Relics. It's only when you reach Difficulty 3 of the Caverns that you have a chance to drop 5★ Relics, which only goes up to 100% drop on Difficulty 4. It may take a few weeks of playing to reach that point.

While farming in the Simulated Universe early on isn't that bad, it's recommended to focus on 2★ Relics and 3★ Relics, as they can give you a significant boost. Simulated Universe is the source of the Planetary Relic Sets that only have 2-piece bonuses. Once you've obtained the sets you wanted or the Main Stat you need, wait until you reach higher World levels in the Simulated Universe to obtain higher Relic rarities.

How to level up quickly?

Are you struggling to increase your Traiblaze Level and the next Main Story mission seems a bit far off? Check out the various sources of EXP available in Honkai: Star Rail below.

 • Firstly, complete the Daily Training which can reward you with up to 1000 EXP per day for completing all the missions. Secondly, Adventure and Companion missions are great additional sources of experience with rewards ranging from 100 to 400 EXP per mission.
 • Another way to gain EXP is by spending Traiblaze Power. Whatever activity you choose to spend your TP on will provide a set amount of experience. Operation Briefing missions are also a great way to earn EXP.
 • Finally, exploring the Open World can yield treasures, monsters, and random encounters that grant additional experience. While treasures can only be opened once, the monsters respawn daily, allowing you to roam around the maps after completing other tasks for the day and gain additional experience, as well as Ascension materials.

"Soul-like" games are a subgenre of action role-playing video games that are characterized by their high difficulty level, intricate level design, and unforgiving combat system.]]>

The challenging action RPG game called Dark Souls has inspired numerous mobile titles referred to as Souls-likes. It is not an easy task to imitate the dark and gloomy atmosphere and the satisfying combat of the Souls series, especially with limited resources and personnel. Despite this, there have been significant achievements in developing successful Souls-like games that are accessible on the top Android phones.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 10 best Soulslike games on Android in 2023.

1. Dead Cells

Dead Cells is a prominent model for Souls-like games available on the Play Store. It is a 2D platformer game that makes each playthrough different by using procedural creation. In reality, you are a revived corpse from a failed scientific experiment, but as the player, you assume the role of a warrior wandering through a dungeon.

Maxresdefault
Dead Cells

The gameplay consists of 2D platforming and dynamic hack-and-slash combat. Exploring the game's environment is encouraged as it rewards you with money and new weapons to battle with terrifying foes. The game is categorized as a "roguevania" because it combines exploration and map navigation with procedurally generated layouts that change after you die. If you enjoy challenging gameplay and procedural runs, Dead Cells is highly recommended.

2. Animus: Revenant

Animus: Revenant is an ambitious game that places you in an isometric 3D world on a linear adventure to save the world. The game draws inspiration from Dark Souls, evident from the combat mechanics that offer a variety of battle approaches such as parrying, backstabs, blocking, and attacking with different weapons. Unlike hack-and-slash games, Animus: Revenant has a slow and methodical combat style that requires players to be deliberate with their attacks.

Animus Revenant Artwork
Animus: Revenant

While the graphics may not be visually dazzling, they can offer a greater frame rate, much like the first Dark Souls. However, a strong device is required to play this challenging game. It is obvious from the slow game pace and disconcerting camera perspective that this is not a game you should rush through.

3. Ronin: The Last Samurai

Ronin: The Last Samurai is a samurai-themed game that puts you in the shoes of a katana-wielding warrior battling multiple enemies in level-based waves. The combat mechanics are similar to Sekiro, with a focus on an aggressive yet cautious fighting style. Touch controls are used to perform strikes, blocks, parries, and special attacks, which are highly responsive and complement the game's art style.

Ronin: The Last Samurai

But because of the slow mobility in the game, archers have plenty of time to aim and fire. Even though the game is simple, playing it is still fun, especially for Nioh and Sekiro aficionados.

4. Pascal's Wager

If you've been eagerly anticipating a mobile game in the vein of Dark Souls, your wait is over with Giant Global's Pascal's Wager. The game immerses players in a foreboding and eerie realm, offering an intense action experience with stunning 3D visuals. Combat is challenging and pits players against terrifying foes in a quest to bring light to the world.

Pascals Wager Android Combat2
Pascal's Wager

Pascal's Wager draws heavily from the Souls series and other similar games like Nioh. The player must traverse perilous environments and reach altars to progress. Bone fragments can be dedicated at altars to level up, and each level-up grants an attribute point that can be used to upgrade stats like vigor or strength. Altars are also used to craft potions and rest, which fully heals the player but respawns all enemies, akin to Dark Souls.

Unlike its inspiration, Pascal's Wager is divided into distinct levels that can be accessed through a map in the player's caravan. While the interconnected world of Dark Souls was a beloved feature, it may have been challenging to navigate such a complex world on mobile devices.

5. Shadow of Death

Shadow of Death is one of the best examples of a 2D hack-and-slash game. The game features a silhouetted world with hostile creatures that want to kill you. You get to choose from four different warriors, each with unique abilities and playstyles, similar to the build concept found in the Souls series. The combat is fast-paced and stylish, with wave-based levels and creatively designed enemies. As you progress through the game, you unlock new abilities and usable items.

Efb350bb90d5dc1f49555363f36a0ee1 Screen
Shadow of Death

The game does not offer much in terms of exploration, likely due to the limitations of the art style. The silhouette environments can be visually confusing, making exploration difficult. Although the game's art design may not be award-winning, the combat in Shadow of Death is satisfying to control and visually appealing, satisfying both the Devil May Cry itch as well as the desire for a Souls-like game.

6. Way of Retribution

Way of Retribution is a unique take on the Souls-like genre that adopts an MMORPG-style gameplay, with the game's design resembling Neverwinter. The game places you in regions with lots of adversaries and a boss to take down, but there's a twist: you have to finish the level's objectives before taking on the boss. There are a variety of starting classes available in the game, each with their own specializations in battle.

Screen 5
Way of Retribution

Similar to previous games in the genre, the player locks onto foes and uses symbols for particular attacks during combat. Even though the gameplay differs from classic Souls-style games, it's still a unique experience that blends the greatest elements of both genres. The game is also simple to download and play.

7. Watcher Chronicles

Watcher Chronicles wastes no time in identifying itself as a 2D Souls-like game, placing you in a dungeon with a sword and armor. The gameplay is similar to Blasphemous, but with a cleaner art style and less disturbing visual design. The combat is seamless, allowing for dodge rolling, blocking, and ranged combat to aid you in challenging situations.

Maxresdefault 1
Watcher Chronicles

Though the cartoonish art style may be unattractive at times, it quickly evolves and reveals some truly exceptional enemy designs, making Watcher Chronicles proficient in its basic features. The difficulty is well-balanced, the weapons are satisfying, the bosses are impressive, and the game motivates you to experiment with different play styles, as the best RPGs do.

8. Grimvalor

Strangely similar to the previous game, Grimvalor is a 2D hack-and-slash Souls-like that places emphasis on platforming and agile combat. However, Grimvalor differs by pulling the camera further back to increase visibility of the surroundings, which is beneficial for precision platforming. The game provides a double jump and a powerful dash for level traversal, which seamlessly integrates with combat.

Grimvalor A 2d Rpg Dark Souls Like Game Is Availab
Grimvalor

Enemies are fairly predictable in telegraphing their attacks, but the game remains challenging. The difficulty level is well-balanced, with the basics thoroughly tutorialized before the game presents any significant challenges. Although Grimvalor is very linear and can be visually dull at times, the gameplay is enjoyable and satisfying, making players feel powerful.

9. Swordigo

Swordigo is heavily influenced by the Souls-like genre, with an emphasis on difficult fighting and exploration. You play as a youthful hero tasked with defending the land from an evil entity in the game. The enemy assaults are telegraphed and must be avoided or deflected in this fast-paced, timing-sensitive fight.

As you progress through the game, you'll acquire new abilities and weapons that will let you take down increasingly difficult foes.

Screen 0
Swordigo

10. Dark Raider

A 2D side-scrolling action game called Dark Raider is strikingly similar to the Soulsborne series. You are thrust into a sinister and ominous environment with undead warriors and demonic monsters in the game. Dodging, parrying, and having quick reactions are all crucial for surviving in fast-paced combat. The game's difficulty is high, but not punishingly so, and mastering its combat systems can be extremely satisfying.

Screen 3
Dark Raider

The level design in Dark Raider is one of its best qualities. Each region has a complex layout with secret passages, obstacles, and other features to find. Exploration leads to the discovery of strong tools and priceless objects, which gives the game a strong sense of progression. The game's setting is also rich in lore, and the plot is gradually revealed as you advance.

Wuthering Waves CBT Review

I've been playing PGR since its first week release on CN, and when WW was announced, i was thrilled. I was tired of the 9+ story of Genshin and the fact u have to spend hours plowing through chests for garbage around the map, and was hoping that WW would bring some difference.

Followed streamers on bilibili since the first hour of the CBT, and after 3 days, id say the WW CBT is very disappointing.

 1. Story, a strong point in PGR, is awkward and downright infuriating at times for the CBT. Not only is the plot boring like Genshin, it manages to make many characters highly unlikeable. I am only hoping that this story is like the CBT story of PGR, which was completely rewritten before the official release.
 2. World exploration. This really feels like playing genshin all over again. I wasnt expecting them to create something new, but the juxtaposition of genshin.mechanics to the WW world map is just not interesting at all.
 3. Gacha. Its rare to see gacha during first CBT, and yet kuro released it anyway and it is exactly the same rates as Genshin. If they dont change that, i dont think many PGR players will like to pay for the gacha.
 4. The worst part is that it feels like that the creators do not have a clear direction. The combat is cool as expected, but it has nothing to do with the games title, wuthering waves. This is also not reflected in the world building or mechanics used. Instead, we get renamed elemental combos and characters that do not look like they fit into a post apocalyptic world. Until the end of the story, no one has any idea what is going on in the story, and a lot of characters show strange animosity and wariness towards the MC. Gameplay also does not emphasize on their combat, but instead follows the genshin route to the smallest details. Even the Endgame Abyss is located on a remote island on the right corner of the map!

8. Soccer Star 2022

Price: Free to play

Soccer Star 2022 is a fun soccer game. However, it skews closer to average than it does to great. It’s built for mobile. That means there are a ton of players and items to collect. The game starts out easy enough. The controls are simple to learn and the graphics are pretty good. Everything is fairly typical for a game that lets you play soccer. It leans on its PvP experience, but there are some non-PvP things there as well. As far as uniqueness goes, this game doesn’t have a ton of it. You’ll also find some annoyances like an energy system that inhibits consistent play. Even so, the developer does update it every year, and that’s not terribly common on mobile these days. It’s a good soccer game, even if it’s not a great one.

Looking to start a new Gacha? Here are the 8 best options that a new player might want to start in 2023.]]>

Gacha game is a term usually used for mobile games that use the lootbox style system. With most of them being Free To Play games featuring anime characters, this type of game is pretty popular these days. Gacha / lootbox elements can be applied to many genres – from strategy to adventure… but the most popular is still JRPG.

In this article, we would list out the top 10 best gacha games in 2023.

1. Genshin Impact

When it comes to gacha games, nothing can beat the elephant in the room, Genshin Impact. The game has become one of the most popular online RPGs ever since its release, with billion of dollars of revenue.

Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact

Gameplay-wise, Genshin Impact is more complex than most mobile games, with a system of characters divided into 7 elements and 6 weapon classes. Players control a team of 4 that can be switched in and out, whose elements can interact with each other and the world around them.

Due to its big-budget revenue, Genshin Impact gets a new content update patch every month, with each patch building up on the story. As it is completely possible to beat the game using only free characters, players can definitely make do without paying. The best part about Genshin's gacha is that it has a pity number that allows players to get the unit they want after a certain number of pulls.

2. Arknights

This game is pretty unique in the genre, being a tower defense with gacha elements. In Arknights, you would build up a roster of characters through the gacha system then use them in place of the “towers” to fend off waves of enemies in maps. Each character would have their own stats, skill, traits, abilities… just like an RPG. The map designs are super unique as well, with each new level a fresh challenge.

Arknights

In general, Arknights is probably the best tower defense game in the market to date.

3. Honkai: Star Rail

After the huge success of Genshin Impact, miHoYo has been diverting its money to work on other projects... and Honkai Star Rail is one of them. It is the fourth installment in the Honkai series, using brand new characters along with alternate versions of the same characters from Honkai Impact 3rd. This is Mihoyo's first attempt to take on the Turn-Based RPG genre.

Honkai Starrail Gameplay
Star Rail is more or less Genshin Impact but turn-based.

The player is free to roam around the map to find treasure, fight enemies, solve puzzles, interact with NPCs, and more. Maps are a sequence of enclosed spaces, not open-world. When approaching an enemy, players can attack them with their Weakness to gain a slight advantage. Some Characters can use their Technique to strike the enemy to give the player team an advantage at the start of battle. Others can use their Technique to buff allies before striking the enemy.

4. Azur Lane

A bullet hell style gacha, with a character roster being the warships from World War 2 personified. In this game, you would control up to 6 characters, advancing in the map to shoot at the enemies appeared while dodge the bullets fired by them. Accompanied with that is the RPG elements with enhancements, skills and gears, providing extensive depth for the game. Beside that, Azur Lane also has a pretty high production value, with excellent character designs, music, voice and graphics – if you enjoy a somewhat chill gacha, this is probably your best bet.

5. Fate Grand Order

Fate Grand Order is a spinoff of the Fate franchise, one of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world. Gameplay-wise, Fate Grand Order or FGO is a turn-based strategy RPG, with players controlling their team of 6 characters going through levels.

Gameplay-wise, FGO is nothing special. However, its strength lies in the characters' design and the story. All characters in FGO are based on a fictional version of a historical/mythological figure, with their own myths incorporated into the abilities. Its story was written by the author of the Fate series himself and is considered one of the best stories ever in mobile gaming. The story alone carry the game, making it one of the best gacha games 2022.

Fate Grand Order
Fate Grand Order

The game can be beaten without any 4 or 5 star units. Players should not spend any money on FGO's gacha system, as it has very low chances of success.

6. Honkai Impact 3rd

Similar to Genshin Impact, Honkai Impact 3rd from miHoYo is also a great ARPG to try out in 2022. It shares a lot of the gameplay mechanics with Genshin, from the hack and slash combat to a character switch system. However, Honkai focus less on exploration in an open world - players can enjoy explosive fast-paced combat instead.

Honkai Impact 3rd
Honkai Impact 3rd

Each Valkyrie has unique attack, evasion, switch, and ultimate skills, as well as a type. New equipment, weapons, and Valkyries can be obtained either through in-game crafting or through a gacha system. Overall, Honkai's gacha system is similar to Genshin, with a pity ceiling that allows players to get the character they want for free with enough savings.

7. Punishing Gray Raven

Punishing Gray Raven (PGR) is yet another high-budget ARPG gacha, with players rotating between three characters. While the core gameplay is similar to Genshin, PGR is actually similar to Genshin's sister game, Honkai Impact 3rd.

Punishing Gray Raven
Punishing Gray Raven

Its gameplay is hack & slash with a dodge system that freezes time. Upon attacks, players would gather three kinds of colored orbs, which can be used to trigger characters' abilities. Furthermore, there's also an ultimate skill gauge that changes over time, which unleashes a powerful attack when it is full.

PGR's characters are fairly well designed, sleek and beautiful. Gacha wise, it is decently fair, with a ceiling for pity that allows you to get the character you want with enough resources saved.

8. Fire Emblem Heroes

The first foray of Nintendo into the mobile gacha genre – Fire Emblem Heroes is a tactical RPG spinoff featuring all the characters from the famous Fire Emblem franchise. In this game, players would control a party of up to 4 characters and fight armies of various sizes on an 8x6 grid map. There is a lot of depth in its gameplay – from the different character types and restrictions (cavalry move fast but can’t enter forest tile, infantry is slower but able to pass… etc), along with various RPG elements and Rock-Paper-Scissor style system.

Best Gacha Game 2020
Fire Emblem Heroes

The fact that it is fairly F2P friendly and has a good storyline and characters is just the cherry on top.

Most notable characters to pull for

Seele

This character is the best of the best when it comes to DPS. What's even better than having one buff? Having two buffs! If you use Seele's skill, her speed will be boosted by 25%, and if she defeats one enemy, she'll get an additional turn and damage buff. Moreover, her ultimate attack has one of the highest damage outputs among all the characters in Honkai: Star Rail, making her a force to be reckoned with regardless of the stage of the game. If you team her up with Bronya, who can also provide damage buffs, you might see damage numbers in the 5, 6, or even 7 digits. This is why Seele is considered an S-tier character and is difficult to match in terms of her nuke damage.

Seele

Luocha

With Luocha on your team, you can witness the automatic healing provided to your allies. If your team's HP falls below 50%, Luocha will step in to heal them. Additionally, if Luocha's stack is full, your ally will be healed each time they are attacked by an enemy. In the event that the enemies are buffed, Luocha's ultimate can be used to deal AoE Imaginary attack and remove a single enemy buff. The best part is that this will increase Luocha's stack, leading to even more healing for your team. Luocha's ability to prevent deaths due to his impressive healing rate is the reason why he deserves a spot in the S+ tier rank.

Bronya

Bronya is a powerful buffer in Honkai: Star Rail, who can give turn priority to an ally, increase their damage output, and use her ultimate to boost ATK and CRIT DMG for two turns. She can be the perfect solution in situations where your main DPS needs to skip a turn or your team needs healing. With her skills, Bronya has earned a spot in the S+ tier, as she is the only character that can consistently advance an ally's turn and buff the entire team's CRIT DMG.

Gepard

Gepard is a dependable defender who can also function as a sub-dps tank. His abilities involve protecting the whole team with his shield and having a good chance of freezing one enemy with his skill. The shield is only available through his ultimate, which means you'll need to recharge his energy to ensure Gepard can provide your team with protection. The effectiveness of his shield is dependent on his DEF, so you need to manage your timing and energy use wisely if you want to use Gepard in your team. As you progress towards the mid and later stages of the game, his shield becomes increasingly trustworthy.

1. Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact bears a striking resemblance to Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It boasts a vast open world that players can explore by climbing and traversing the environment, and there's even a glider to cover greater distances. While the game features some minor gacha elements, they don't pose significant issues.

Genshin Impact Exploration Team
Genshin Impact

The game features an exciting and dynamic combat system that combines real-time action with strategic elements. Players can control a team of characters, each with their own elemental abilities, to create powerful elemental reactions. The game also offers a variety of weapons and equipment to customize each character's playstyle. Overall, Genshin Impact's combat system is one of its strongest aspects and adds an engaging layer to the game's exploration and story.

2. Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger is a classic RPG created by a talented team of developers who were responsible for the success of three of the most well-known Japanese franchises: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, and Dragon Ball. 3. Monster Hunter Stories

Capcom seems to have taken inspiration from The Pokémon Company and infused some Pokémon elements into the Monster Hunter universe. In Monster Hunter Stories, instead of solely slaying monsters, players hunt for eggs, hatch them, and nurture them into party members who engage in turn-based battles alongside the player. While there's still plenty of monster butchering, the cute monsters and rock-paper-scissors combat system make Monster Hunter Stories one of the best Android RPGs available.

4. Final Fantasy 7

Final Fantasy 7 is widely known and loved, and has received various forms of media, from a spin-off game to a recent episodic remake. The game has also been made available on mobile devices, but it's important to note that this is the original 1997 version without any updates to the graphics or story seen in the Playstation 5 remake. It's a classic game that can be played on-the-go, but don't expect any major changes or improvements.

Final Fantasy 7

Square Enix has been diligently releasing its collection of RPGs on Android in recent years, with most of them being excellent titles. The collection includes popular titles such as Final Fantasy I-VII (and IX), Dragon Quest I-VI (and VIII), Secret of Mana, Adventures of Mana, Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition, Chrono Trigger, and more.

5. Titan Quest: Legendary Edition

Titan Quest: Legendary Edition is a remastered version of an older RPG that was released in 2006 and brought to mobile devices last year. This action RPG is similar to Baldur's Gate or Diablo II, and offers an open world where you fight enemies, defeat bosses, complete main story quests, and collect better equipment.

Titan Quest 2
Titan Quest: Legendary Edition

The game comes with all the DLCs, including Immortal Throne, Ragnarok, and Atlantis, which justifies its higher price tag. The previous version of the game was already on our list, and we hope that the developers will continue to update it, so it can remain on the list for a while longer.

6. Tower of Fantasy

Tower of Fantasy is a mobile RPG that employs gacha mechanics and is reminiscent of Genshin Impact in terms of its scope. Players can venture out into a vast world, collect various heroes through summons, and play through engaging stories. Though starting small, players quickly gain power as they gather new heroes and level them up. Like Genshin Impact, the game is enjoyable due to its exploration of an open world, numerous activities, satisfying combat, and mostly smooth performance on higher-end devices.

7. WitchSpring

WitchSpring is a mobile RPG series that is not well-known but is worth playing. There are four games in the series, and each one is a competent RPG with typical RPG mechanics. However, what makes the games stand out are the above-average storytelling, various activities to do, good graphics, and simple controls.

Witchspring R Image
WitchSpring

The first three games take place at the same time in the game's universe, with the first two telling the same story from different perspectives. So, you don't have to play them in order, although it's recommended to play the first game before the second. The third and fourth games can be played independently at any point.

8. Knights of the Old Republic

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) is a game that offers an adventure set in the Star Wars universe 4000 years prior to the events of the original Star Wars movie. The story is compelling and should please any Star Wars enthusiast who's passionate about the lore. Even though the graphics may appear outdated to some new players, this becomes unimportant as they become immersed in the game.

Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic
Knights of the Old Republic

One of the game's significant features is the ability to fully customize your own character from the Star Wars universe. As you progress through the game, you'll explore iconic locations, wield new weapons, and meet many intriguing characters that add depth to the storyline.

9. Chaos Rings 2

It's unfortunate that the Chaos Rings series isn't talked about enough, as the games are truly exceptional. Although the third installment didn't quite measure up to its predecessors, the first three games were some of the best JRPGs of recent times. This is a significant statement that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Chaos Rings 2

Chaos Rings 2 is widely regarded as one of the greatest games in the series and is beloved by many. The plot is complex and thought-provoking, which provides an enjoyable experience as players attempt to unravel the story's mysteries. Fans of the series can only hope that the games receive the attention they deserve through ports or remasters to make them more accessible.

10. The Shadow Sun

If you're a fan of BioWare games, you'll find The Shadow Sun to be a familiar experience. Although it's not the most impressive or exciting game out there, it still manages to deliver an enjoyable experience despite its limitations. The game's simple combat and storyline are enough to keep mobile gamers engaged, and the effort the developers put into building its world is commendable and sometimes even astonishing.

If you are looking for games with high replayability value on Android, these 10 titles are probably the best.]]>

Roguelike games are quite demanding, where players explore caves and dungeons to seek out excitement and treasure. But in my version of roguelikes, the dungeons are created randomly and once a player dies, it's permanent, adding a touch of nervousness that makes the game more challenging compared to other role-playing games. Although it's a specialized category, the followers are devoted. Roguelikes are distinctive from other games, and here are the finest rogue-like dungeon crawlers for Android.

1. Dead Cells

Dead Cells is a modern game in the roguevania genre and it's very impressive. It boasts a vast interconnected world (the 'vania' part), 2D platformer and action elements, non-linear progression, and more. The game comes with hardware controller support, multiple software controller options, and an auto-hit mode, which is ideal for those who prefer to focus on exploration. The playable character is quite remarkable and the game is quite expansive.

Dead Cells

However, this mobile version is a bit outdated compared to its PC counterpart, so some necessary adjustments have not been implemented. Players should expect challenging gameplay since it's a tough game. Dead Cells can be purchased for $8.99, without any in-app purchases or ads. It's also available for free on Google Play Pass, if you're subscribed to it.

2. OneBit Adventure

OneBit Adventure is a less intense roguelike game, which may not attract the hardcore players. The game provides a range of character classes to choose from, such as warrior, wizard, necromancer, archer, thief, and others. It utilizes turn-based combat with user-friendly controls that allow for single-handed gameplay.

As players progress, they can find gear to enhance their chances of winning, as well as unlock active and passive skills. The game features infinite level creation, leaderboards, boss battles, and other exciting elements. Although the game has some drawbacks, overall, it has more advantages than disadvantages.

3. Pathos

Pathos is an older game in the roguelike genre with graphics that are below average, even compared to other games of its kind. The controls are a bit more complicated than usual as well. However, the game excels in other areas. It employs a similar gameplay mechanism to Nethack, a classic ASCII roguelike game from the early 1980s. In the game, players descend into the dungeons, defeat the final boss, and escape before dying. The game is completely free and without any advertisements, which is why we appreciate it. Since it's a free game, it's difficult to complain too much about its flaws.

4. Hoplite

Hoplite is an older and widely known dungeon crawler that provides a somewhat more strategic gaming experience by employing turn-based movement and attacking. Apart from this, it follows the classic roguelike game style with randomly created dungeons, leaderboards, Google Play Games achievements, user-friendly controls, and a considerable level of difficulty. Although the basic game has just over twenty-five levels, there are many unique missions and other content to keep players occupied. If players opt for the premium version, it is relatively low-priced. Google Play Pass subscribers can also access this game for free.

5. Caves

Caves is a highly sought-after mobile game in the roguelike dungeon crawler category. It closely follows the standard criteria, where players navigate through randomly produced dungeons, gather diverse treasures and equipment, overcome numerous foes, and more. The game has a classic, old-fashioned appearance, but the controls are satisfactory and the gameplay is pretty engaging and challenging. Players are also given a primary base that includes a cloning station. This game is not simple and is available at a relatively low cost.

6. Endurance (and Ailment)

Endurance is a dungeon crawler in the rogue-like genre that features a top-down shooter style of gameplay. The game is packed with numerous enemies to defeat, various items to gather, and a compelling story to follow. As a player, you explore the Endurance to uncover the reason behind people's madness. Ailment, another game in this category, is a sequel to Endurance and is also worth trying. For the optimum storyline effect, it is recommended to try Ailment first. Both games offer a free-to-play option, with an opportunity to upgrade to a permanent premium version via in-app purchases.

7. ReversEstory

ReversEstory is a game that combines rogue-like shooting with elements of action and bullet hell. The 2D platformer mechanics are a surprisingly enjoyable addition as you navigate through the different sections of the game while shooting your way through enemies. The boss battles are challenging but entertaining, and the game's graphics and overall style are charming. Additionally, players can obtain various equipment, and the game allows you to fly around freely, adding to the fun. The bullet-hell aspect of the game increases the level of intensity, making it more challenging than typical rogue-like games. Overall, ReversEstory is an enjoyable game. It is available for free with Google Play Pass, but in-app purchases are still available.

8. Soda Dungeon 2

Soda Dungeon 2 leans more towards being a dungeon crawler rather than a roguelike. The objective is to get to the end of Soda Dungeon by using turn-based combat mechanics, collecting loot, fighting bosses, and other standard RPG dungeon-crawling elements. However, it also includes some unique features that enhance the gameplay. For instance, players can earn rewards in the background like in an idle game, and they can use the Soda Script function to control their AI teammates more precisely. Although it is not a typical roguelike, it's a solid dungeon crawler with enjoyable gameplay.

9. Yet Another Pixel Dungeon

Yet Another Pixel Dungeon is a highly traditional roguelike game available on mobile devices. It is a derivative of the original Pixel Dungeon game and is one of several similar games available in the app store. The game is favored for its active development, multiple features, and options for players. It includes four character classes, four levels of difficulty, an assortment of loot and equipment to acquire, and a dynamic environment that can affect gameplay. It is considered the best version of all the Pixel Dungeon games and is highly recommended. However, if you search for Pixel Dungeon in the app store, you can find several other versions to try as well.

10. Space Grunts 2

Space Grunts 2 is a roguelike game with a twist - it includes card collection mechanics that replace your traditional tools and loot. As you progress through the game, you can collect various cards to play during strategic moments to overcome obstacles. While the gameplay mechanics are similar to other roguelikes, the inclusion of the card collection adds a unique element to the game. Despite not being very popular, the game was enjoyable to play. Unlike many mobile games, there are no in-app purchases or ads, but it does cost $3.99 to download.

<![CDATA[How To Reroll In Honkai Star Rail]]> https://gurugamer.com/mobile-games/how-to-reroll-in-honkai-star-rail-21996 Wed, 05 Apr 2023 07:25:00 +0000 https://gurugamer.com/mobile-games/how-to-reroll-in-honkai-star-rail-21996
Players will need to put in a lot of effort to get the perfect starting account in Honkai Star Rail.]]>

In gacha games, "reroll" refers to the process of deleting your current account or data and starting the game over from scratch in order to try and obtain better or more desirable characters, items, or equipment from the randomized gacha pulls. This process involves repeatedly going through the tutorial and initial stages of the game until you have accumulated enough premium currency to do multiple pulls from the gacha.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase how to reroll effectively in Honkai Star Rail and which character you should aim for.

Star Rail
Honkai Star Rail

Is it even worth to reroll in Honkai Star Rail?

The short answer is NO.

The reason for this is that Mihoyo removed the Guest Login option, which means that each reroll attempt requires a different account. Furthermore, if you already play Genshin Impact and plan to reroll in Honkai Star Rail, you cannot have both games on the same account.

The tutorial in Honkai Star Rail is story-heavy and cannot be skipped, which means that it takes around 30-40 minutes to reach the point where you can start pulling.

The pull rates in the game are quite low, at 0.6% for a 5★ Character, so it could take up to a day of rolling to get one, and there is a high chance that it will not be the one you want.

Honkai Star Rail Character Screen
Mihoyo did their best to prevent players from rerolling.

Additionally, the 20 Star Rail Passes received from pre-registration cannot be used on Rate-Up banners, making rerolling for specific characters impossible. However, it is worth noting that a 5★ Character is guaranteed from the Departure Warp Banner within the first 50 pulls.

How to reroll in Honkai Star Rail

To reroll, there is unfortunately only one method available. As mentioned in the warning section, the salting method is no longer effective, so you will need to prepare multiple dummy emails if you plan to reroll.

The process of rerolling involves the following steps:

 • Log into the game with a new email
 • Endure the 30-40 minute tutorial and click through the dialogue
 • Suffer through the Gacha pulls before logging out and logging back in with a new email

On PC, you may be able to use emulators and their multi-instance feature to reroll multiple accounts simultaneously. More information on this will be available closer to the game's release once it is determined how it runs on emulators.

The Prologue

The initial part of Honkai: Star Rail, known as the prologue, serves as a tutorial for the game. As previously mentioned, it takes about 30-40 minutes to reach the point where you can access the gacha pulls, which are called Warping in this game.

Guide Reroll 1
Star Rail Tutorial

During the Final Beta, we attempted to find the most efficient way to progress through the tutorial. However, the game leads you through a linear route, introducing the main cast of characters and various features of the game, such as exploration, roles, elements, basic combat mechanics, advanced combat mechanics, and so on. As a result, you cannot skip any part of the tutorial and must play through everything that the game presents to you.

Honkai Star Rail Press Kit Image 2
The turn based nature makes the game even slower

The most time-consuming aspect of the tutorial is the numerous conversations that take place. These conversations cannot be skipped, and you must wait for each character to finish speaking before you can click to advance to the next one. This can be quite tedious.

Here are the rephrased steps for the Honkai: Star Rail prologue (spoilers ahead!):

 1. In the beginning, you take control of Kafka and explore the station with Silver Wolf.
 2. After a brief time of witnessing Kafka's annihilation of the Antimatter Legion, you will unlock the game's main character. You can choose either the Female or Male version, but your choice won't have any impact on gameplay, as both genders have the same skills and passives.
 3. On March 7th, Kafka and Silver Wolf will be replaced by Dan Heng, and together with him, you will continue exploring and unlocking Traces and Light Cones.
 4. At this point, Himeko will join your team temporarily, and her presence will make it easier for you to eliminate the Legion.
 5. After a few more battles, including a mini-boss fight, you will meet Asta and finally gain access to Warping.

An essential tip to remember is to utilize your Adventure Logs to level up the main character and Dan Heng as the majority of the tutorial is focused on combat. Doing so will enhance your damage output and allow you to dispatch monsters more quickly.

Pulling Gacha

When you start playing Honkai: Star Rail, you'll receive 20 Star Rail Passes as part of the pre-registration rewards. However, these Passes can't be used on the Rate-Up banners. You have to use them on either the Departure Warp or the Stellar Warp banner.

If you choose the Departure Warp banner, you'll be guaranteed a 5★ character within the first 50 pulls. However, it's recommended to focus on the Stellar Warp banner instead. Since you'll already get a 5★ character from the beginner banner, it's better to reroll on the regular banner and then pull on the beginner banner afterwards. By doing this, you'll have two 5★ characters on your account early.

Therefore, the Stellar Warp banner is the one to use your Star Rail Passes on.

Guide Warpstand
Stellar Warp banner

This Warp allows you to obtain both 5★ Characters and Light Cones. The list of possible 5★ Characters that you can get from this banner includes Bailu, Bronya, Clara, Gepard, Himeko, Welt, and Yanqing.

The rate of getting a 5★ Character or a 5★ Light Cone from this banner is currently set at 0.3%. The chance of obtaining a 4★ Character from this banner is currently set at 5.1%. Since you will only have 20 pulls to use on the banner, your goal should be to get a 5★ Character from this limited amount.

All of the available characters are good except for Himeko, who is too focused on AOE damage and struggles against bosses. If you want the best and most long-term pull, Bronya is the best offensive support in the game. However, if you plan to conquer the Forgotten Hall mode (the equivalent of Abyss in Genshin Impact and the only known endgame content), you will need a healer on each of your two teams. Since Bailu and Natasha are the only healers in the game, you will struggle in this mode with just Natasha. Therefore, Bailu is the character you want to pull if you plan to tackle this challenging content.

If you are looking for a high quality game to play on Android in 2023, these 10 titles are the best of the best.]]>

Mobile devices have been getting more and more powerful. In the past, android phones can only play a handful of simple games, but nowadays full-fledged titles previously on PC are ported to the platform.

In this article, Gurugamer is going to showcase the top 10 best PC games ported to Android in 2023.

1. Rome: Total War

Rome: Total War is the most highly acclaimed game in the Total War series. Upon its launch, it was apparent that the Total War series had something different to offer to fans of Turn-Based Grand Strategy games. In time, it would become known as one of, if not, the best Total War games ever made. Players can conquer and rule the ancient world by fighting spectacular real-time battles in an enormous turn-based campaign.

Huyen Thoai Game Chien Thuat Rome Total War Se Co
Rome: Total War

The android version of Rome is a true port of the original PC game and runs smoothly. However, the controls on the touch screen are abysmal, especially in battle it is a huge pain to do anything more than tell one unit to attack another unit. Don't expect to pull off flanking or complex formations of any kind.

2. Company of Heroes

Company of Heroes is probably one of the best RTS games ever. At the time when stuff like Age of Empires, StarCraft and Warcraft were the dominant strategy games, CoH broke that mold by doing away with economic gathering and management by simply replacing it with a sector-capturing system that generated resources for the player. The realism and tactical aspect of doing things like maneuvering tanks so that their frontal armor is facing incoming fire to minimize damage is amazing.

Companyheroesis 3258653b
Company of Heroes

The android version suffers the same weakness as Rome - the controls are not that responsive, which might cause players unnecessary loss.

3. XCOM 2

XCOM 2 is a pretty great turn-based strategy game about killing aliens. You command a platoon of customizable soldiers that begin as rookies and over time become seasoned veterans with skills dictated by your decisions in skill trees. You command troops through the grid-based map and take actions based on the number of action points they possess each turn; these actions include movement, using a weapon (fire gun, melee), reloading, using items, and going on overwatch (aka set up an ambush if an enemy enters the line of sight).

Screen 5
XCOM 2

The android version is a really great port in general. The touch controls are very intuitive and well thought out. After a few hundred hours on PC, I felt right at home with the mobile version.

4. Alien: Isolation

Alien Isolation is a nerve-racking 1st person stealth horror game in which you explore a huge space station, complete tasks while remaining hidden from the Xenomorph, and craft tools to distract and try to survive. The AI is the best part of the game, with the xenomorph latches on to your strategies and ensuring the player doesn't brute force a level the same way over and over, for an incredibly immersive survival experience.

Image0
Alien: Isolation

The android port is near perfect, with surprisingly easy-to-use controls for the little bit of combat you do.

5. Planescape: Torment

Originally released in 1999 by Interplay Entertainment and Black Isle Studios, Planescape: Torment is a legendary cult classic among RPG enthusiasts. The game tends to be less hack-and-slash than it looks, playing according to a system roughly based on second-edition Dungeons & Dragons. But in a big departure from both, you can solve a huge amount of your problems with minimal combat and the real meat of the game comes in your decision-making, mystery-solving, and dealing with people around you.

Screen 7
Planescape: Torment

The android version runs well, with sharper, cleaner graphics and a better audio soundtrack.

6. Titan Quest: Legendary Edition

Titan Quest is the lovechild of conventions set by Diablo 2, and the burning passion of talented developers, and the courage to experiment with the formula of an Action RPG. The most addictive part is trying out different builds and equipment farming, just like most diablo-like games.

Img1
Titan Quest: Legendary Edition

This is a solid port of a classic and it's great to have all the content that has come out, including recent content, for $20. The touchscreen controls can be a bit finicky but it's still very playable. You just need to use builds that don't require quite as much precision. It would be great if they added controller support in the future though.

7. Dead Cells

Dead Cells is a game that I would describe as a mix of Castlevania, Dark Souls and most of the rogue-lites out there. You take control of a ninja-like character and your goal is to get through a bunch of randomly generated levels.

Deadcells01 15787543758702030266143
Dead Cells

This is a really good roguelike, it starts off as being kind of easy, but still semi-difficult, but as you beat the game, each difficulty requires exponentially more skill. The mobile version has a few small drawbacks - it is slightly behind the PC version in content. However, it runs really well on pretty much any device.

8. Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger is one of the greatest games of all time, a sentiment that has been echoed by many. It's an RPG with a brisk pace, charming characters, and just enough combat and mechanics to feel worthwhile without feeling overwhelming.

Screen 7 1
Chrono Trigger

The android port overall performs well and has all the extra content that the Nintendo DS version has. The touchscreen controls are... usable, but sometimes you can tap on a target and it will not attack that target.

9. Star Wars: KOTOR

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic throws you head first into a fantastic recreation of the Star Wars universe filled with lightsabers, Sith Lords, and political intrigue, in an immersive, gripping tale of Good vs. Evil. It is one of the best RPGs of all time, holding up to this day with the choices and storyline. The gameplay is, of course, a little dated but if you can handle that, then this game will suck you in completely for hours.

Star Wars Kotor Android 2
Star Wars: KOTOR

The android port runs fine, controls aren't really great but not unplayable. It's difficult to play some of the minigames since this game doesn't support multi-touch.

10. Slay the Spire

In my opinion, Slay the Spire is the best roguelite deck builder ever made and also in contention for the best roguelite ever. The design of the game is close to perfect -- every card, relic, and enemy is in for a reason and serves a purpose, and there are almost no additions to the game that serve to just up the item count without offering interesting playstyle consequences. It's very easy to understand, and yet that betrays its considerable depth and endless replayability. It's very good!

Will Slay The Spire Come To Android Feature

The android port has some minor problems but runs smoothly for the most part.

Best Marvel Snap beginner decks

The following beginner Marvel Snap decks exclusively use starter and pool 1 cards, which are from collection levels 18-214. These are 71 cards to choose from, and since you are very early in the game, it does not really matter too much if there are some missing.

Ongoing deck

This Ongoing deck focuses on effects that constantly trigger when the cards are in play. Spectrum and Blue Marvel are the best cards for this play style. If you are lucky enough to get turn 7 from an extra energy or the Limbo area, it is possible to get both in play at the same time.

 • Ant-Man
 • Nightcrawler
 • Medusa
 • Sentinel
 • Ka-Zar
 • Iron Man
 • Lizard
 • Blue Marvel
 • Mister Fantastic
 • The Punisher
 • Captain America
 • Spectrum

On-Reveal deck

This Pool 1 deck focuses mainly on On-Reveal abilities, which activate as soon as you play the card. Odin is pretty much the best card in the deck, with Ironheart and Gamora being close behind.

 • Elektra
 • Nightcrawler
 • Ironheart
 • Wolfsbane
 • White Tiger
 • Star Lord
 • Korg
 • Yondu
 • Angel
 • Medusa
 • Gamora

Best Marvel Snap meta decks

Marvel Snap Free To Play F2p Guide May 2022
There are a lot of cards to pick from in Marvel Snap

You will unlock a lot more options after reaching the Pool 2 (222-450) and Pool 3 (460+) cards, and even more so at Pool 4 and 5. Currently, Silver Surfer is dominating the meta right now - here are the best meta decks in Marvel Snap right now:

Baero deck

Baero focuses on spamming destroy effects early on to overwhelm your opponent before they can build up. The downside of this deck is that it needs a number of late-game cards, including Wave, Aero, Leader, She-Hulk, and Death.

 • Nova
 • Aero
 • Bucky Barnes
 • Carnage
 • Squirrel Girl
 • Yondu
 • Killmonger
 • Wave
 • Deathlok
 • Leader
 • She-Hulk
 • Death

Seracle deck

Sera is the key card of this deck, with Bast also being a staple after its inclusion in Pool 5. Mystique makes the deck more consistent as she can copy the ability of many ongoing cards in the deck. Players can also add Silver Surfer in for a Hybrid deck.

 • Bast
 • Iron Man
 • Sera
 • Mysterio
 • Bishop
 • Mystique
 • Blue Marvel
 • Ant-Man
 • Adam Warlock
 • Angela
 • Mister Sinister
 • Mojo

Infinite deck

This deck is fairly hard to counter, as it includes a turn six 20-power card. Its playstyle is fairly simple – frustrate your foe with cards like Storm, Iceman, Scorpion, and Hobgoblin, win one location with Jessica Jones and a turn five skip, then play The Infinaut to guarantee a location.

 • Iceman
 • Jubilee
 • Hobgoblin
 • America Chavez
 • Lizard
 • Scorpion
 • Groot
 • Storm
 • Sunspot
 • Angela
 • Jessica Jones
 • The Infinaut

Double Devil Control deck

This deck focuses solely on controlling the board – Professor X and Daredevil is a lethal combo that lets you win a lane on turn five. Additionally, White Queen and Cosmo can get intel of your opponent's turn six and shut down their combo, while Leader is a certified turn six win if you already secure one lane and are less than 4 behind in another.

Infinacula deck

This deck pretty much relies on one single combo that would give you a win if you pull the right cards. Infinacula allows you to snap as soon as you have the right cards in your hand, so it’s great for cube management as you can retreat for one cube loss if you don’t have Dracula and The Infinaut by turn four. Focus on filling up two lanes with what is essentially a Kazoo deck, then let Dracula, The Infinaut, and America Chavez swing the game in your favor.

 • Ant-Man
 • Nightcrawler
 • Yondu
 • Iceman
 • Sunspot
 • Armor
 • Captain America

Patriot deck

Patriot is a very simple deck to play that essentially buffs all the cards in your deck with no abilities. It would get weaker as time goes on but you should probably get enough advantage when that happens. Onslaught and Mystique are the key cards of this deck.

Additionally, you still want some cards with abilities, as the low-cost ones that generate copies are often better than more expensive cards like The Thing and Abomination.

 • Wasp
 • Misty Knight
 • Mister Sinister
 • Shocker
 • Debrii
 • Mystique
 • Patriot
 • Wave
 • Blue Marvel
 • Magik
