The upcoming Battlegrounds Mobile India 1.6 update has made the Indian player base super excited and hyped. People expect it to come out alongside the PUBG Mobile Resistance update, but much to their disappointment, it has not come to pass. However, Krafton definitely won't let the BGMI fanbase hanging for long. In this article, we are going to showcase the upcoming BGMI 1.6 new features, download size and details about the next Royale Pass Season.

1 - BGMI 1.6 update expected release date and download size

The current Royale Pass season of BGMI will end on Sept 17, at 5.30 AM, with C1S2 begins on Sept 17, 7.30 AM. Usually, the new update of BGMI is supposed to come out before the new season start. Therefore, it is logical to expect the BGMI update 1.6 release date falls between 16 and 17 September, or sometime tomorrow.

Players can expect the 1.6 patch of BGMI to be about the same size as PUBG Mobile's version. Hence, it would be around 690 MB for Android and 1.68 GB for iOS.

2 - BGMI 1.6 update: New game mode

In the 1.6 update of BGMI, a new game mode called Flora Menace will be introduced. In this event, an alien floral menace has invaded the whole island, spreading from Erangel, Sanhok and finally Livik. Players will have the chance to win a permanent Space Trickster set, similar to the even in PUBG Mobile.

4 new items will be added to the various maps in the game:

• Life Barrier: This item heals players allowing them to turn the tide of combat.
• Zillion Matrix: This construction facilitates random weapon drops and respawns.
• Nacore Chips: Players will get a Nacore chip upon elimination of an enemy.
• Dynahex Supplies: Players can redeem Nacore chips gained from kills for extra supplies.

3 - BGMI 1.6 Royale Pass Cycle 1 season M3

The M3 season of Cycle 1 will begin on Sept 17 and ends on Nov 19, 2021. Below is a list of some of the skins in the Royale Pass.

KRAFTON has officially announced the Independence Day Mahotsav event for Battlegrounds Mobile India. The India-specific Battle Royale game will be celebrating the nation's birthday with tons of free rewards. So, grab your friend, form a squad, and join BGMI right now!

BGMI Independence Day Mahotsav Schedule

KRAFTON has been very active lately to dish out localized events for Battlegrounds Mobile India. The popular Sand Bottle event just ended with a bang. To keep we players busy, the game officials launch the Independence Day Mohatsav, which roughly translates to Independence Day Festival.

The new BGMI Independence Day event started on August 11th and will continue until August 20th, 2021. That means you now have exactly 1 week to complete all the challenges and claim your rewards.

Independence Day Mahotsav Missions And Rewards 

The BGMI Independence Day event contains two sub-event series. The first one is 'Independence Day: Brother in Arms'. It consists of different missions that players have to complete to claim their rewards. The second one, 'Independence Day: Login Event', offers players free rewards simply for logging into BGMI every day.

The most exciting reward to come out of the Independence Day Mahotsav event has to be the Purple Magnolia AWM skin. Every player can acquire this skin for free via the event!

Here's the detail on the two sub-event series:

Independence Day: Brother in Arms

From August 11th to August 17th, players have to complete daily missions and collect the rewards. The list of missions are:

• Play with friends in Classic Mode every day at least once. Win 10 AG.

All of these missions are 1-time missions. If you complete all of them you can get a total of 1025 Growing Points. You only need 800 Growing Points to buy the final pack.

There are many overlaps missions that can be completed at the same time while you are playing so it shouldn't be too hard. Just by logging in to the game for 5 days and play ing10 matches already get you at least 450 Growing Points already.

The valid schedule for uploading and sharing your landing moves is from July 20th to July 30th. The registration phase for the first big tournament of BGMI, Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 (BMIS 2021) has begun. To aid players in registration, BGMI has just uploaded a video featuring 8bit Thug, The Experiment and Ocean Sharma showcasing the registration steps.

In this article, we are going to showcase all you need to know about BMIS 2021 registration.

1 - Requirements for participation

• All players should be at least 16 years old before the deadline for registration, which is on August 1st. Those who are 16 years old or older but under the age of 18 must obtain the consent of their guardians using the parental consent form in Appendix 2 of the rulebook.
• Participation in events is possible through mobile phones only.
• The minimum and the maximum number of players per BGMI India series team must be precisely four during the tournament.
• Gamers are only allowed to compete for the team with which they have registered. Participating with more than one side at any given time will result in disqualifications.

The last requirement is the easiest to trip. In other esports tournaments in India like those of Free Fire, for example, a lot of teams were eliminated for their members playing for another squad. Only phones are allowed - you can't bring any of the extra gear, as they are considered an "unfair advantage".

2 - Step by step guide for BMIS 2021 Registration

Firstly, players must fill up general details about the team like team name, team owner name, valid mobile number, email, city, etc. If the team captain is the owner, tick on the appropriate box and click next.

Afterward, you need to fill in all the related personal information of the captain. From name, age, gender to email, character id, in-game name, valid ID proof, valid mobile number, city, and state. All other members of the team also need to fill in theirs as well.

Players will receive a confirmation email upon successful registration. If you need to change any info, you must do it before the registration period ends. That can be done via an unique link in the confirmation email.

3 - Scoring system for BMIS 2021

To qualify for the first stage, which is the In-Game Qualifiers, players need to play at least 15 matches with the team members they appointed at the time of registration. Out of 15 matches, the scores of the top 10 matches will be considered. In case a tie happens, the jury will consider other parameters such as the number of finishes (kills), survival time, accuracy, and more. Overall, you need to be in the top 6 for some actual points. Every other position gives next to zero points.

• 1st Position - 15 points
• 2nd Position - 12 points
• 3rd Position - 10 points
• 4th Position - 8 points
• 5th Position - 6 points
• 6th Position - 4 points
• 7th Position - 2 points

Esports has always been a big part of PUBG Mobile, and after the game came back to India as "Battlegrounds Mobile India", it is Krafton's first priority. Just a week after BGMI's launch, its first tournament "Launch Party" took place, with lots of influencers and streamers participate. It was a huge success, with over 17.5 million total views and 547,000 peak viewership.

Following the Launch Party's success, Krafton has announced a brand new public tournament called Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 or "BMIS". In this article, we would list out everything you need to know.

Format and Schedule of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021

The tournament will be broadcast on Battlegrounds Mobile India's official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

In-game Qualifiers

The In-game Qualifiers will start on August 2nd at 12 am IST and last until August 8, 12 PM IST. Each registered squad needs to play up to 15 matches in that time period. The top 1024 teams will qualify for the next round. The evaluation is based on the 10 best results out of those 15 matches.

Online Qualifiers

The Online qualifier is divided into 3 rounds.

• The first round lasts for 6 days, from 17th August to 22nd August. Half of the pool (512 teams) will move to the 2nd round.
• The second round lasts for 11 days, from 26th August to 5th Sept. Half of the round 1 pool (224 teams) will move to the 3rd round.
• The second round lasts for 4 days, from Sept 9th to Sept 12th. 224 qualified and 32 invited teams will compete, with the top 64 moving to the quarter-finals.

Quarter-Finals

The quarter-finals will start on Sept 16th and last until Sept 26th.

• 64 teams will be divided into 4 groups and compete for 6 matches. The top 4 will advance to the next round.
• The 48 losing teams will be divided into 3 groups in the loser bracket. The top two teams of each group and the two teams with the highest kill points will advance to the semi-finals.

Semi-Finals

The semi-finals will start on Sept 30th and last until Oct 3rd. 24 teams will compete for 16 spots in the grand finals.

Grand Finals

The grand finals of Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 will start on Oct 7th and last until Oct 10th. It will feature 16 of the best teams in India, fighting for the ultimate title of champion and the massive prize pool.

• All players must be Indian citizens.
• Smartphones only and nothing else - use of tablets, triggers and emulators is not allowed.

Krafton just released a logo reveal video for the Battleground Mobile India Series 2021 tournament on YouTube, kicking off the competitive scene of Battleground Mobile in India. The Battleground Mobile India Series 2021 tournament is the third edition of the PUBG Mobile India Series. Team SouL won the 1st edition of the tournament in 2019, marking the start of the bloom esports scene in India. TSM-Entity was the winner of the 2nd edition.

About the Battleground Mobile India Series 2021

The Battleground Mobile India Series 2021 is reported to have a huge prize pool of 1 Crore. The winner of the tournament will take home Rs 50 Lakh. Here is the prize distribution of the tournament:

How to Collect Diamonds for The Event?

Diamonds can be accumulated just for playing the BGMI normally. The list of missions is really straightforward and simple. However, it requires players to play on a regular basis to obtain enough Diamonds for the big-ticket rewards.

The missions you have to complete are as follow:

(Diamond) Journey to the Top!

• Achieve Top 20 times in Classic Mode with friends – 20 Diamonds
• Achieve 40 times in Classic Mode with friends – 50 Diamonds and 1x Supply Crate coupon
• Get to Top 5 times in Classic Mode with friends – 10 Diamonds
• Get to Top 10 times in Classic Mode with friends – 10 Diamonds

(Diamond) Game Time

• Get in any mode 2 times every day – 5 Diamonds
• Play any mode 5 times every day – 5 Diamonds
• Play any mode 10 times every day – 10 Diamonds

(Diamond) Friend in need

• Revive a party member 5 times in Classic Mode – 10 Diamonds
• Revive a party member 10 times in Classic Mode – 10 Diamonds
• Bring a party member back to life 20 times in Classic Mode – 20 Diamonds
• Bring a party member back to life 40 times in Classic Mode – 50 Diamonds and 1x Supply Crate coupon
