A former CS:GO streamer by the name of phantomlord wins his lawsuits against Twitch. The platform banned him in 2016 for fraud allegations regarding a gambling website.]]>

Twitch isn't the most transparent platform when it comes to revealing the reason for a streamer ban. For example, the mystery behind Dr. Disrespect's ban still remains. However, in the case of the former Twitch streamer James 'Phantoml0rd' Vargas, Twitch banned him in 2016 for fraud allegations. The streamer has just won his lawsuit against the streaming platform.

Vargas was quite big of a name in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community, particularly CS:GO gambling. Here, players bet in-game skins on professional matches or on games of chance (like using a roulette wheel). Winners take all.

Certain skins in CS:GO are only available in a certain time frame. Therefore, they have a high value on secondary marketplaces. And where there's potential to make a profit, there's gambling.  Dive deep into the seedy underbelly of CS:GO and you will find yourself in a gritty dark place.

Phantoml0rd Twitch Streamer
Vargas was a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer.

With so much money on the line for players who bet their skins on, some are getting very wealthy. Vargas was probably one of them. He was accused in 2016 of running a CS:GO website and actively promoting it though not revealing that he owned the site.

Twitch banned Vargas for the same reason, but without any proof of these allegations of fraud. And this is also what helps him won the lawsuit just a few days ago. The streamer seeks to clear his name, along with financial compensation. Though Vargas was found to be in the right of the lawsuit, he only receives $20,702.34 in damages. Initially, he asked for $35 million.

With millions of daily views and growing thousands of streamers, Twitch has become a prominent target for lawsuits. The streaming platform faced a "scantily clad" female streamers lawsuit just last summer.

In the case of Vargas, he finally cleared his name after being kicked out of the site without any actual evidence of wrongdoing. However, his lawsuit also brought back some shady practices surrounding the popular FPS game.

Twitch Streaming Platform
Twitch is now a prime target for lawsuits.

The whole CS:GO gambling economy is still running strong regardless. The question of the direct links between streamers and gambling websites remains. And let's not forget the big-time cheaters in the CS:GO scene, who managed to get to the very top.

Recently, a female Twitch streamer username Gavrilka took cyberspace by storm for going live on Twitch and asked her viewers to donate money for an apartment. The most interesting thing is that the streamer used to raise funds for her dream house and received Rs 187 lakhs from Twitch viewers.

Having more than 1,7 lakh subscribers on Twitch, Gavrilka is a Russian girl who gained popularity thanks to her stunning appearance and sizzling figure. She is usually spotted in sexy dance, cooking and just chatting videos on Twitch. Earlier, the streamer landed in controversy for raising funds to buy her dream house. According to the streamer, half of the fund she received was from ‘a generous man’ who donated Rs 58 lakhs. Apart from being shocked and grateful for that, the streamer also added that she didn’t waste the money on anything but saving it for her dream house.

Because of the mixed comments and aggression about asking people for money to buy a house, Gavrilka finally deactivated her account and remained silent about the whopping Rs 187 lakhs she has raised. However, after a few months later, the controversial streamer is back and continues her donation campaign for another Rs 58 lakhs. This time, she aims to buy an apartment and the streamer mentioned neither the 256k donation she received nor her dream house she asked for last time.

Girl Streamers Got Banned For Impolite Action On The Mainstream

These four ill-famed streamers come from Korea. They have just come back after the previous ban for offensive streaming content of group swimming. However, it seems that the punishment didn’t make them “docile”. They once again got banned from their impolite and offensive action on the mainstream.

This time, four beautiful streamers didn’t wear sexy bikinis like in their group swimming streaming that made them get banned before. Instead, they wore charming and ravishing cheongsams. It would never matter if they just wore those stunning outfits and did normal streaming. However, after minutes, four pretty girls started to follow the beaten track and did their tricks to attract viewers.

Chobi, the girl in green cheongsam became the victim of the tricks. The other three girls started to untie Chobi’s cheongsam buttons and touch her bust, making the girl cover her bust with her arms and hands. However, Chobi, the victim of the trick, still laughed and appeared to be fine with her friends’ trick on the mainstream. She didn’t show any signs of discomfort or embarrassment with her friends’ impolite manners.

This trick of four streamers made the chatbox boil with both praises and criticisms. Some viewers even reported and asked the administrator of the streaming platform to ban their channel for those offensive contents. Then, the channel of these four streamers finally got banned. Hopefully, after the ban, they will get a lesson and give up doing sexy or offensive content on their streaming.

The popular battle royale game PUBG has got a new app that allows players to track whether they have killed a streamer.]]>

With how popular PUBG is around the world right now, many gamers have made a living out of streaming the game on Twitch. So, during your matches, have you ever stopped to wonder if the person you are killing (or more likely is killing you) is a popular streamer? How did they react? What did their viewers say in Twitch chat? Did you just do something silly in front of a streamer, and in turn thousands of their fans?

Wacky Jacky
WackyJacky, a popular PUBG streamer

Well, now you will be able to answer all those questions, as a PUBG community developer has created an app that shows kills recorded on camera during streams.

The app, titled PUBG Report, connects kills to Twitch streams by using in-game data. This is possible thanks to PUBG API, an official service that allows developers to use post-match game data to make websites and tools.

So, how does this app work?

All this might sound technical and complicated, but the actual process is surprisingly straightforward: You simply open PUBG Report, insert your in-game name, and after a brief search it will show how many streamers you've killed (or got killed by) within the past 2 weeks. You can even see footage of the exact moment that the kill happens from either player’s perspective by clicking on one of the reports (and enduring through a couple of Twitch ads).

Pubg Report List
PUBG Report allows you to easily see if you have killed or be killed by a streamer

As interesting as it is, the app does have a few drawbacks. For example, right now it only works for PC players. But rest assured, the developer already has plans to add console data in the near future

Another complaint is, as mentioned above, PUBG API only stores data for matches that happened within the past 14 days. So, if you have a proud moment where you manage to take down a popular Twitch streamer or even a pro player, be sure to quickly save it before it is lost.

Pubg Report
You can see the kill from either player's perspective

Of course, it’s not that often that you can encounter a streamer in your game, but if you ever do, PUBG Report will tell you exactly when and where, as well as show you their exact reaction at that moment.
