Iron Man can be seen as the character that gave birth to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after the great success of the first solo movie, released in 2008. With box office sales reaching nearly $600 million, the Iron Man movie franchise helped Marvel Studios catch the eye of Disney and put the MCU name on the world cinema map, becoming a powerful force today.

Therefore, Iron Man's noble sacrifice at the end of Endgame took many tears away and left a deep regret in the hearts of millions of fans around the world. With the theory of new parallel universes and timelines introduced for the first time in the MCU, many people were hoping that Iron Man would somehow return to the big screen (just like Marvel Studios did with Loki when the 2012 version of the man disappeared with the Tesseract).

Recently, however, actor Robert Downey Jr., the irreplaceable Tony Stark of the MCU, personally spoke about whether he will appear in the franchise in the future: "That’s all done ”. Robert will no longer be attached to MCU films in any capacity. And Iron Man, if it does return, it will most likely be played by another actor.

Previously, there were rumors that Tony Stark would appear in Black Widow - the opening film for the MCU phase 4, expected to release later this year. It is fairly reasonable because the Black Widow movie will take place after the Civil War and before Infinity War - the time when Iron Man is still alive and has a close relationship with Natasha Romanoff.

However, this may just be cut scenes that were never shown in Captain America: Civil War, and reused by Marvel Studios for Black Widow. Accordingly, Tony Stark will have a secret meeting with Natasha and assign her an important task, thereby leading to the main events that take place in the first blockbuster of the MCU phase 4. Of course, the whole The above details are only rumors and we can only confirm with certainty when Black Widow hits theaters on November 6.

In addition, with a studio famous for surprising fans like Marvel Studios, anything can happen, even when Robert Downey Jr. claiming it was over. Although he has officially said goodbye to the role of Iron Man, Marvel has many ways to bring him back (with a decent amount of pay, of course). Avengers: Endgame was a movie that brought a lot of surprises for its viewers. The movie also featured the largest cast in the history of Marvel Studios, including almost every superhero it has ever built in the past decade. Among the cast of Avengers: Endgame, there were also some supporting characters that you might have missed if you didn’t pay close attention. And the one we’re talking about is Harley Keener, played by Ty Simpkins, the strange young man that appeared at Tony Stark’s funeral.

In Endgame, he had only a few seconds on screen but that was a major moment to him as an actor and a Marvel fan. It was also one of the hardest things ever for him.

In 2017, Simpkins learned the biggest secret of Marvel: Iron Man would die in Endgame. Keeping that secret for 2 years was a great challenge for the boy. “It was the hardest thing,” Simpkins said.

In 2013, Simpkins played Harley in Iron Man 3, who helped Iron Man rebuild his suit. Years later, when Simpkins was practicing lines before an audition, his manager called, saying that Marvel Studios might bring Harley back for the final movie of the Infinity Saga. His manager confirmed the news later that week, then Marvel Studios co-president called Simpkins.

“He walked me through how they get to a point where they’re fighting Thanos and then at the end Iron Man dies. So then he just told me I’m gonna be at the funeral.”

Right after the call, the actor reached out to Iron Man, aka Robert Downey Jr., telling him about how excited he was to be in the movie and how much Iron Man meant to him throughout his life.

Marvel has long been known to be secretive about the twists in its upcoming movies. Actors when interviewed often make jokes about “Marvel snipers” to avoid questions close to the spoiler territory.

After Endgame, Tom Holland said he was told to film Tony Stark’s wedding to keep the secret of the movie’s ending.

However, Simpkins said that most of the cast and crew members knew what would happen. The crew used the wedding as a code word with some of the cast and told people auditioning for roles that it was a wedding.

At first, keeping the secret wasn’t difficult before the release of the Infinity War film, in which Iron Man’s death was a concept that felt far off and impossible. However, the closer it was to Endgame, the harder it became not to slip out the spoiler.

“At the end there it started seeping out of me a little bit, just because we filmed that in November 2017 and it came out in 2019.”

After his brief appearance in Endgame, many Marvel fans thought Harley might be set up for a larger role later on. But Simpkins said he had not heard anything though he would love any opportunity to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Although it has been a dream for fans of Iron Man to see Robert Downey Jr. continue his journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in some way, the veteran actor has recently confirmed his time as a superhero has come to an end.

Without a doubt, 2019 was an intense year for Marvel fans. On April 25 that year, Avengers: Endgame, the climax of the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe finally reached the theaters.

In this film, we had to say goodbye to several of the original Avengers, such as Black Widow, Captain America, and Iron Man. The latter was sent off with honors, closing his story with a funeral in which almost no character from the MCU was missing and gave the perfect closure to Robert Downey Jr's character.

It was something to be expected, and it is probably the best decision for a character who has had such a long journey and such a special farewell. But never say never…The greatest possibility of a comeback is in the Disney + animated series 'Marvel's What If…?' in which we will be shown alternative realities of events in the MCU and that has confirmed a large part of the cast of Marvel films to give voice to their characters ... but we do not know anything about Robert Downey Jr. yet. Meanwhile, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) will become Thor in the fourth installment to be released in 2022, titled Thor: Love and Thunder. Meanwhile, Jennifer Susan Walters/She-Hulk and Kate Bishop/Hawkeye will get their own Disney + series. This leaves Iron Man as the only original hero who has no clear replacement.

Peter Parker Won't Succeed Iron Man in Next Marvel Installments

Although Iron Man welcomed Spider-Man as if he were his disciple and lent him a suit and also bequeathed his technology to him, it does not appear that Spidey will be Iron Man's successor. In fact, the third installment is probably already on its way and the influence of Tony Stark will have completely disappeared.

One that has particularly caught our attention belongs to Avengers: Endgame, where a deleted scene is shown suggesting the possible return of Thanos in future Marvel Studios movies.

The deleted scene from Avengers: Endgame is an enlarged sequence of the encounter between The Hulk/Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and The Elder (Tilda Swinton). The Elder explains to Banner that death is irreversible, but Thanos did not kill.

She clarified that when the Mad Titan made the click to eliminate half of the universe, the power of the Infinity Stones did not kill them, but rather eliminated them from the existence. And with that same power, what was removed can be recovered.

This means that it is possible that Thanos, having been eliminated from existence by Iron Man using the Infinity Stones, could return in the future somehow reversing the snap made by Tony Stark. Given Thanos' bond with the characters in the upcoming movie The Eternals, it might be possible.

In addition, not long ago the creator of Thanos thought that we will see more of the Mad Titan at the MCU, although his return, if it's possible, would not be so immediate as his film arc is still so recent.

Avengers: Endgame ended with Tony Stark snapping his fingers and wiping out Thanos and his army, much in the same way that Thanos wiped out half of the Avengers. If all those who were willed out of existence can return in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, then Thanos certainly can.

Exactly how the series’ writers could bring him back is a mystery, but perhaps there’ll be another villain looking to enlist the services of the Mad Titan for their future plans. Either way, it’s probably nice for Marvel bosses to know that they can bring back Thanos should they ever want to.

Screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely teased an exciting never-before-seen shot from the Avengers: Infinity War deleted scene during a fan session. The image quickly spread through the Internet as Marvel fans showed their buzz for such a rare sight.

The screenwriting duo showed an image of Dr. Strange (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) wearing the Iron Man's Mark 50 Suit - a scene that never made it into the final version of the film. This photo belongs to an alternative version of the fight between Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.), Dr. Strange, and Ebony Maw (played by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor). We can also see  Tony was wearing The Cloak of Levitation, one of Strange's mystical artifacts. Many believe that this was just one of the many alternatives ditched by the filmmakers.

In a tweet via the ComicBook.com account, McFeely hinted that there were many versions of the scene. Only a few made it through the cut, while others, as awesome as they were, were too long to keep. This is fairly easy to understand considering the colossal scope and scale of the Infinity War. However, seeing just a glimpse into an alternative version of the film did bring joy to the Marvel fans. They said that they would do anything, even selling their kidney, to see the full deleted scene, with or without CGI.

Avengers: Infinity War has been released two years ago, in April 2018 and followed by Avengers: Endgame. Both movies ended up generating gigantic box office gross, with Endgame being the highest-grossing film of all time. Marvel Cinematic Universe's phase four has been delayed due to the impact of coronavirus. Marvel's Black Widow starring Scarlett Johansson is moved back to later this year, on November 6.

So an Iron Man video game is coming. However, usually talking about super-hero video games, we talk about Batman and Spider-Man with the thrills of flying over the city to attack the bad guys in your amazing suit and gears. But, if you bored of them already, don't worry because another superhero is coming in his suit. Iron Man VR is coming to PlayStation 4.

Iron Man VR

From just the name alone, I think you could figure out one thing or two about this upcoming game already. Iron Man VR is a PlayStation VR game with the whole game is about the favorite billionaire of everyone and the sassy playboy, Tony Stark. We don't know yet how many percentages of that yet. But taking from the semi-cinematic trailer below that Sony has released during its Play live stream it has a lot of shooting on the high-sky.

From the official blog of Marvel, we have a brisk post saying that this Iron VR game is a mission for Tony Stark to go against his past ghosts which seek to destroy everything he cares about. The players will be in the role of fighting against Super Villains and iconic allies as they are jet around the globe in heroic missions to save the world and Stark Industries.

The Impulse Armour

Adi Granov, the costume designer and illustrator at Marvel, has made a special Iron Man suit for this game. It is kinda a spruced-up version of the usual Iron Man suit we usually see, known as Impulse Armour. It looks quite good, we could say that he has added some modern and sleek twist to the classic comic book design of Tony. And surely, in this VR game, we get to punch airplane into bits with the suit.

Sony Interactive Entertainment, Marvel Games, and the developer Camouflaj have worked together to release Iron Man VR. They expect to launch it on PlayStation VR at the end of 2019.

Iron Man VR is a collaboration between developer Camouflaj, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Marvel Games, and is due to launch on PSVR later this year.

So you want to prepare yourself for the upcoming Avengers: Endgame? Wanna pick up on the previous MCU(Marvel Cinematic Universe) movie so that you won't be totally lost? But the marathon is too long for you? We have got your back - don't worry about it.

Endgame is the final movie in a 22 film series which began with the first Iron Man back in 2008. But in fact, you can skip some because not every film is essential to understand the main story and character arcs of the finale on April 26th.

PHASE 1

The first phase of the MCU is a collection of six films including The Avengers, the first team-up film which has proven Marvel's ability of long film storytelling. But in fact, only three in six films are essential because The Incredible Hulk and Thor don't tell us anything about the characters. While Iron Man 2 makes no forward progress in storytelling.

IRON MAN (2008)

You must watch this film because this is the beginning of everything. And must more important is that this film has Tony Stark a major character with will go through all of the MCU films. In the First Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr.and Jon Favreau took on the role of a billionaire playboy who is also vulnerable by his own weapons but then realize that and dedicate his life to protect the world.

Notice: The relationship between Tony and Pepper is important as between Iron Man and Steve Rogers as seen in the trailer so far.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER (2011)

And of course, the original Marvel superhero in term of time. This is a Joe Johnston-directed film which put skinny Steve Rogers into WWII as Captain America by the super-soldier program of U.S. Government. We also get to see the relationship between Steve and Peggy Carter, founding agents of SHIELD. In this film, we get the first look at the first Infinity Stone, the space one - The Tesseract.

Notice: The story arc of Captain begins with his motto of having faith in a cause bigger than oneself. But in the middle of the film, he traded that for this buddy Bucky. Will Captain find his greater good?

MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS (2012)

So skipping The Incredible Hulk and Thor, we will catch the basics on the first team Avengers film where the team gathers together to beat up Loki and his Tesseract. We also have the chance to see the connection between Hawkeye and Black Widow stepping up from side role from previous films. The first finale New York's battle is a major event in the MCU. That is also a value moment when all the heroes come together as a group. As the end, we also see a glimpse of Thanos.

Notice: We have some leaked photos from Endgame saying that New York's battle is maybe relevant to how the heroes defeat Thanos. And by the way, because Loki was using the Mind Stone in the Scepter and with Tesseract - he is the first one to hold 2 Infinity Stones.

PHASE 2

In phase 2 there are a total of six films but you can skip three of them if you are short in time. Iron Man 3 is a great film follow up the event in The Avengers but then it doesn't have anything on the main story of the film. Thor: The Dark World doesn't have any meaning inputs to the story aside from the Reality Stone come into possession of The Collector. And Ant-man is a fun origin story but it only about the character while has nothing on the overall storyline.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER (2014)

Our favorite Captain comes from SHIELD soldier to vigilante fighting against HYDRA, which from the last film has taken over the organization in the 20th century. This film is filled with world building and second acts to explain themselves. But Captain did well in this film by reviving Bucky and increase the urgency.

Notice: Captain's friendship with Bucky will eventually lead to the crack in the group, plus Natasa interaction with Cap build up the background for her to choose a team later on.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY (2014)

This is the first jumps off planets in MCU. In this new take, we receive many new characters such as daughters of Thanos - Nebula and Gamora. We also get to see the big purple guy himself sitting on his chair. The film focus on the Orb which has the Power Stone inside. Also, we have the bonus origin story of Infinity Stones from The Collector.

Notice: Star-Lord has the ability to hold a Stone thanks to his Celestial Lineage.  After the events in this film the Power Stone was kept on Xandar, but then the whole planet was destroyed off-screen by Thanos.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON (2015)

Of course, this one also - it is quite a boring film to watch in the whole MCU but you have to because of the plots. In Age of Ultron, the Earth-protecting AI created by Tony turns evil with James Spader voice. Cap begins to question the intention of Tony. They created Ultron with the power of the Mind Stone. To defeat Ultron the group has to destroy a whole city without permission, and that is bad.

Notice: This is also the begin of the story arc for Thor in Avengers. Thor and Hulk both leave Earth afterward. Vision has the Mind Stone in his head, the same one used to create Scarlet Witch.

PHASE 3

In this final phase, Marvel begins to improve on the interweaving storyline to work up toward a conclusion. You can skip Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Black Panther, Captain Marvel because eventhough they are great films they don't contribute much to the finale of Endgame.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR (2016)

This is literally an explosion of the group inner strife. Steve and Tony's worries come into reality as people start to worry more since Bucky running around killing people. We also get introduced to Spider-Man and Black Panther.

Notice: At the end, Iron Man and cap fight, Cap dropped his shield and since we haven't seen the shield, Tony, nor Steve in the same screen since.

SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING (2017)

This is is kinda skippable, but it is fun to see the relationship between Peter and Tony as a role model as well. Tony tries to protect what he cares and this is about Peter just as much as Pepper.

THOR: RAGNAROK (2017)

This is a fun Thor film, the first fun one indeed. Thor lost his hammer, Doctor Strange shows up briefly, Loki gets the Tesseract back, Asgard is destroyed. Alright, Hulk came back as well.

Notice: We still don't know anything about the fate of Valkyrie Meek and Korg.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP (2018)

The majority of this film deals with the aftermath of the Civil War. All the important casts are back and we got a fun film and some knowledge about the original Wasp and Quantum Realm. This is a very essential film to understand Endgame.

Notice: Scott was in the Quantum Realm and survive the "snap" but that is not very likely the key to undo the event in Infinity War. But maybe the Quantum Portal of Hank Pym will play a role?

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR (2018)

Endgame is just Infinity War Part 2 - so yes go watch this film before the second part.

As April the 26^th draws nearer and nearer, the hype for Avengers: Endgame is only getting more intense every day. Now, a new trailer for the upcoming blockbuster movie has surfaced, which gives us further insights about what’s going to happen. If for some reason you haven’t watch it yet, you can find it right below:

So, let’s dig deeper into the details to break down what we might get to see when the movie actually rolls out:

Going back to the origin

Right at the beginning, the trailer shows Tony Stark in his Mach 1 Iron Man suit, the very first one he made in 2008’s Iron Man. Later on, we see several other flashbacks of other characters, such as Thor with his father Odin and Steve Rogers at Peggy Carter’s funeral. All of these are in grey and white, with certain parts highlighted crimson.

We can hear Stark relaying a message for his lover Pepper Potts in which he looks back on the major events of his life and how he came to realize he loves her. Then, a female voice (presumably Peggy Carter’s) reads “The world has changed. None of us can go back. All we can do is our best. And sometimes, the best we can do is to start over.” If you recall, this is the conversation Carter had with Steve Rogers back in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As this narrative goes on, the screen switches to another flashback of a skinny Steve Rogers enlisting into the US army.

We get to see more of Hawkeye

We already caught a glimpse of Hawkeye in the first trailer, but this time we get to see more of him. It appears that he’s going to play a major role in Endgame, as we see Natasha Romanoff meeting him in Japan. In the comics, Clint Barton eventually put behind the Hawkeye title and move on to fight crime under the new name “Ronin” (a Japanese word to refer to a lone warrior or a masterless samurai), which is probably what is going on here.

Barton looks bitter and depressed, and ever since the first trailer fans have speculated that the reason behind his drastic change is because his family was killed by Thanos’ snap. This is further supported by a subsequent flashback in which we see him happily teaching archery to his daughter. By the way, this scene has also led many people to believe that Hawkeye’s daughter will replace the role of Kate Bishop in the comics and become his successor.

Ant-man has escaped the Quantum Realm?

In this part we can see Scott Lang looking at a “missing” poster with a distressed look on his face. This probably means he has somehow managed to get out of the Quantum Realm and return, yet unfortunately, only to find everyone he loves gone.

Avengers Assemble

Following the scene with Ant-man were shots of several characters, including Bruce Banners, Thor, and Rocket Raccoon standing on War Machine’s shoulder, Nebula doing her usual things which is yelling and fighting. Hawkeye pops up pretty frequently between the shots, further implying his importance in the upcoming events.

But what comes after those series of shots is probably the most interesting part of the trailer. Here, we see the full team (what’s left of them, anyway) walking through the Avengers Headquarter in brand new outfits. There are several things to note here, the first of which is that both Nebula and Tony Stark are among them. This suggests that the two has escaped Titan, survived Space, and made it to Earth. However, don’t take this as a concrete fact just yet, as Marvel is known for its tendency to misdirect fans by including footages that are not in the actual film in its trailers (Remember the scene from Infinity War trailer when we saw The Hulk running beside the Avengers and T’challa’s army in Wakanda?).

Then, fans have theorized that the suits that the entire team is wearing are specially-designed ones that allow them to travel to the Quantum Realm, which would mean they could be traveling back through time. Earlier we saw a glimpse of Captain America on the battlefield in what seems like his original uniform, so time travel is totally a possibility here.
