The post comes with a picture with this message:

"To all our frontline workers across India this May Day, thank you for your selfless dedication and courage. Sea is donating 1000 cylinders of oxygen, and we are committed to supporting you in this fight against COVID. We stand with you in this time of need."

This donation is going to save a lot of people as the pandemic is getting out of control in India.

Sea Limited is a Singapore company that owns multiple businesses, including Garena Free Fire, the most popular mobile game in the world.

The exact statistics released in Sensor Tower's 2020 report are as follow:

India leads the chart with more than 4 billion downloads more than the second contender (the United States with 5.1 Billion). This may not come as a surprise to many, considering the massive number of mobile users in India. However, what's interesting is that the country does not show up among the top 5 grossing countries. Also, Garena Free Fire has officially become the most downloaded game of 2020.

According to data collected by Sensor Tower, up to now, India already took over the 1st position with a total download percentage of 17%, followed by the USA finishing as the runner-up 10% and Brazil standing at the 3rd spot with 8%.

1. These days, eSports is a really, really big business

As per a study from Business Insider, PUBG players made around Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 45,000 in India. 8bit Thug even estimated higher numbers due to the booming growth of the game. While all prize pools for professional tournaments are said to reach $8 million (Rs. 58.5 crores), the highest-paid players could earn a whopping $4000-$5000 per month (approximately Rs. 3-3.5 lakh).

The border clash between India and China has led to 59 Chinese apps being banned in June and now, the additional number of banned app goes up to 118, including PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Lite, Arena of Valor, etc. It looks like a clear message to the Chinese officials: If you keep aggressive at the disputed territories, your businesses in India will have to pay the price. TSM Is Likely To Enter Indian PUBG Mobile Scene

PUBG Mobile is growing crazily in India and has become a cultural phenomenon. In addition, India also becomes a destination for international PUBG Mobile esports events, such as PUBG Mobile Club Open. Moreover, there are many small or big PUBG Mobile tournaments are held in this country annually.

Noticing the crazy growth of PUBG Mobile esports in India, many esports teams are entering the Indian PUBG Mobile scene. Fnatic formed their PUBG Mobile team in India last year and took an entry to the Indian esports scene. India Is Emerging As A Hotspot In Esports Map

The North American esports organization is likely to enter the Indian scene but other details are still unveiled. PUBG Mobile is emerging as one of the most popular games in India with the continuously increasing community.

PUBG Corp. and Tencent Games are investing in this great market and hosting many international PUBG Mobile tournaments there, such as PMCO India Qualifiers. It helped attract many international esports organizations to enter and also encourage the foundation of domestic teams. Moreover, the entry of oversea teams like TSM as well as the development of the Indian team will make India a competitive destination in the esports world map.

PMCO India Group Stage Day 1 Highlights

PMCO day 1 has four matches taking place in four different maps of PUBG Mobile. Match 1 took place in the first map Erangel. The flight line was from Military Base to Severny. The hot spot Pochinki was occupied by Team JSLX while lots of teams chose Rozhok and Gatka to land on, including Orange Rock.

Team Orange Rock had a center position on the play zones throughout the time of the game. Finally, they got the Chicken Dinner and 10 kills. Therein, the player ORDaljitsk contributed 5 kill points to the total 30 points of team Orange Rock.

Game 2 took place in Sanhok and the flight part was from Sahmee to Camp Alpha. Sanhok is a small map and combat usually happened early. A highlight of the match was the 1v4 combat between MGZedDude with team Insane before being finished by Team Aim. At last, team Revenge ESPT got the final victory with 6 kills.

Game 3 occurred in the large desert map of Miramar and the plane flew from Tore Ahumada to Los Higos. The first zone shrunk in the southeast corner of the map while most of the team landed above the white circle. In the final zone, team Aim once again lost the chicken dinner to Team Elves. 

The last match took place on the Vikendi map. Two last teams in the final circle were aggressive hunters with 9 kills for each team before the end of the match. Finally, team Genocide got the ultimate win with 13 kills in total.

PMCO India Group Stage Day 1 Overall Standings

After day 1, team Orange Rock with excellent performance got the first position with 21 kills and one chicken dinner. Although team Aim didn’t get any win in the first day, they still stood in second place with 53 points, including 17kill points. Revenger Esports occupied the third place with 51 points, making 15 kills and getting a chicken dinner in game 2.

Today, the second day of the PMCO India group stage will take place at 6:00 pm IST. These two men have been creating chances of becoming a real pro gamer for so many people. Moreover, those chances are not for boys and men only. Global Esports has founded the first all-female CS:GO pro team. Previously known as GERayne, this all-female CS:GO pro team has just changed its name into Rayne Esports, and it has just had created its own Facebook page. The page is still lack of likes and followers, so if you want to support the girls, you know what to do.

Rayne Esports just created its fanpage on Facebook, and after uploading the avatar and cover photos, the first post of the team is to recruit a new female player for the team. So, if any girls can join them, be confident and send messages to the Facebook page of Rayne Esports. They will reply shortly.

The first post on the Facebook page of Rayne Esports also introduces the other 4 members of the team, as well as the coach of the team. Previously in 2019, our girls have won second place in Legion of Valkyries, a CS:GO tournament hosted by Lenovo. The line-up that won the second place of Rayne Esports has not been changed much, only Zarin Nawar (a player from Thailand) left. That is why Rayne Esports is not looking for their fifth female player.

UK-based esports organization Fnatic is continuing its venture into the Indian market, recruiting former Riot Games employee Nimish Raut as the leader of its branch in the country.

According to Raut’s profile on LinkedIn, he has been at this role since December 2019. Before that, he was Senior Manager for Esports in Southeast Asia and Greater China for Riot Games.

Fnatic co-owner and Chief Gaming Officer Patrik “Carn” Sättermon shared that he’s “very pleased” to have Raut join the team.  They already met a few years ago and Sättermon said it’s “exciting” that Raut is now leading Fnatic’s expansion in India. He also mentioned that the organization aims to become an active player in pushing the growth of the esports ecosystem in the country.

Fnatic first began to capitalize on the esports scene of India back in October last year, when it acquired a local PUBG Mobile team. Now, Raut’s task will be to make the organization’s presence expand as it sets up training facilities such as a gaming house.

Speaking to AFK Gaming, Raut stated that he’s “extremely excited” about this opportunity. His previous job at Riot Games gave him a close understanding of how popular Fnatic is to fans around the world and how the team works.  He also mentioned that the organization has big plans for India in the future, starting with opening a full-fledged facility in the country and not just a bootcamp.

Furthermore, Raut also wants to bring in the required professionalism while at the same time establishing partnerships with various brands to find ways for them to invest in the ecosystem.

India is a major area of interest for global organizations that are looking for opportunities to expand. With a local lead like Raut, who has lots of experience in the field, Fnatic will no doubt stand a great chance to build momentum in the market. Alongside Fnatic, Team Vitality is also jumping into the fray.

When India is becoming a hotspot for the gaming industry, Esports is gaining steady momentum. Experts believe that there will be a time where physical sports and Esports will be considered at par. This also calls for anti-doping laws for Esports. ESL is the only premiere tournament operator which spends $40,000 a year for drug tests on professional players. It is likely that India will establish anti-doping laws designed for esports.

Kory Friesen, a professional Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player had admitted that his entire team of Cloud9 had taken psychostimulant Adderall during a major Electronic Sports League. This drug helps to improve the reaction and cognition of a player.

It is also considered to boost strength and is taken by active athletes. Adderall and Ritalin come under the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) type of drug. But the anti-doping law which is adhered to by Esports Integrity Coalition (ESIC) does not make it mandatory for professional players to undergo regular tests like athletes.

Delhi resident Simar Sethi,21 aka PSY a professional CS:GO player and former in-game leader of Entity Gaming, said, "Such cases have been reported abroad. Indian players are at a very naive stage to indulge in such activities. Moreover, I personally know almost all Indian professional CS:GO players and I am sure that none of them indulge in doping. Our country is growing at a fast pace for professional esports. India is ready to host more international tournaments. Anti-doping laws are important and if it gets established it will be a positive step for Indian esports."

Akshat Rathee, founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming revealed that he has not encountered any doping-related offenses to date. He said, "NODWIN Gaming is an active member of the Esports Integrity Commission. We are in compliance with ESIC's Anti-doping Code.

The code specifies a long list of offenses and the procedures of investigating to be followed by a strict disciplinary action which we will have to follow if we come across any such cases. Esports players are accused of doping to particularly stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations. The drug helps to improve cognition, it completely takes out fatigue, and enhances the users' reactions."
