If you are a fan of Minecraft, you might have heard about Minecraft Dungeons, a new action role-playing game dungeon crawler developed by Mojang. It was released in May last year for PC and consoles.
In this article, we are going to list out everything you need to know about this game.
What is Minecraft Dungeons?
Gameplay
The game is completely different from the usual Minecraft experience. Minecraft Dungeons features neither an open-world nor mining and building. Instead, it is a point-and-click hack and slash-styled dungeon crawler, rendered from an isometric perspective.
Players explore hand-crafted and procedurally generated dungeons filled with monsters, puzzles, traps, treasures and bosses. There is no class system - players can use any weapon or armor they want. You can either play Offline or Co-op, with a 4-player local co-op mode and online multiplayer.
There are the usual Weapons, Armors and Consumables that serve the same function as in the normal version of Minecraft. A new class of items called Artifact is added - they work like spells in normal RPG.

Story
Unlike Minecraft, Dungeons features a linear, story-driven campaign, with cutscenes. The story follows an illager named Archie, who was treated unfairly by everyone around him and exiled. One day, he stumbled upon a powerful artifact that gives him magic power and turns him into the "Arch-Illager", an immensely evil being.
The Arch-Illager sought vengeance on everyone who has wronged him, conquering the world with his army. The players will step into the shoes of heroes whose task is to stop the Arch-Illager and destroy the Orb of Dominance.
After Archie's defeat, the Orb of Dominance's shards land into various locations and create evil bosses. It is once again the players' task to cut them down.
How to play Minecraft Dungeons?
As Minecraft Dungeons is a premium game, players need to either buy the game via its Main Page or pirate it on the internet. There is no way to play on mobile devices at the moment, outside of streaming the game from a PC/Console.
As it is a Microsoft Exclusive, the game is not even available on Steam.
