One of Free Fire's best features is the character system, giving players the chance to customize their character with extra skills. Not all characters are useful, however - some are just situationally usable at best. In this article, we are going to talk about Ford, one of the earliest characters in Free Fire. The guy is pretty hard to use - you would usually don't want to be the situation that his skill would become useful.
1 - Ford's Backstory
Ford is a thirty-one years old man who was a naval officer in the US Navy. He is a secretive and resilient person - whose purpose of coming to this island is to find his girlfriend, the nurse Olivia. These two have engaged and were about to marry... but disaster struck. Olivia is the only one who can make his determination waver.
2 - Ford's Ability
Ford is pretty much a tank, with the ability to reduce damage when outside of the safe zone. Below are the statistics of his Iron Will skill by levels.
- Level 1: Reduce damage taken when outside of the safe zone by 4%
- Level 2: Reduce damage taken when outside of the safe zone by 8%
- Level 3: Reduce damage taken when outside of the safe zone by 12%
- Level 4: Reduce damage taken when outside of the safe zone by 16%
- Level 5: Unlock Ford's Cadet uniform
- Level 6: Reduce damage taken when outside of the safe zone by 20%
- Level 7: Unlock Ford's Achievement
- Level 8: Reduce damage taken when outside of the safe zone by 24%
3 - Tips and tricks on using Ford
If you expect to dawdle outside of the safe zone for a while, picking Ford might be a good choice. He is one of the cheapest characters in the game, costing only 2000 gold. When combined with healing abilities and first aid kits, you can stay outside of the safe zone for and extra-long period of time - this might be useful in earlier stages of the game as you can loot for a few seconds longer.
If you are intending to use Ford's ability to stay outside of the safe zone, picking up Joseph's skill is not a bad idea, as you would be constantly moving around with a +20% movement speed.
